Balotelli should play more centrally or as a poacher, he'll be wasted if playing far away from the box.

this. should be on the shoulder constantly like he was for italy during the euros. he's a lethal finisher.

Not totally wasted out wide IMO. During the euros he played on the flank too. Its less crowded there. With his strength, he is good to box his man and hold the ball. With his speed and skill, he is good to go past his man and deliver a cross or dribble into the box. It's his combination of strength, skill, speed and a good height( not too tall or short) that have people salivating over his potential.

No he is not.....

I've said he seems ok, but gas a lot to learn...I've also said people are getting ahead of themselves on here...calling him world class etc...

A world class centre half wouldn't have been beaten along the goal line in the last couple of minutes of a game. He also skated very close to the edge with his passing sometimes in the fact that he nearly gets robbed of the ball.

I've also said right from the start that he ie slow on the turn...which he is and also that he is good in possession...which he is.....so where gave I exactly been proved wrong?

I want this lad to be the best centre half on the planet....but at present he is just ok...but he is getting better....

And while ur in the vain of "i told u so"....I was right about savic"

It does seem a bit of an odd reaction when you look at his body language... he seems to display the classic ''anger-denial-resignation'' with his stroppy little jump then flapping his arms round before his shoulders and head go down.

wigan were good to a point, and that was the difference
we always had the extra class when we needed it
3pts and we move on

Three points isn't too shabby when you consider we only played with seven men for the first hour.
Yaya, Garcia and Balotelli may as well have not been on the pitch up till then.

Played ok first half without threatening.

2nd half I thought we were poor for 20 and then balotelli scored and there was only one winner.

Balotelli did well for the goal and miners was a cracker. Pity he will be missing for a month or so now.

Garcia is th weak link for me. Total crap so far.

Are you mad? We were really good for the first 15 mins of the second half! Then Wigan got on top left spaces at the back and we exploited that

Do you think we are playing more like we did 2010/11 season where we were very hard to break down but also didn't create much going forward?

We know Bobby doesn't like conceding goals so maybe he doesn't want us to play like we did at the start of last season?

Or is it just too many big players under performing?
