Wigan FA Cup post-match thread

I see people are having a debate on Danilo so before I start I'd like to say I personally don't rate him but today going forward he tried more & did more than anybody else.

I can't get my head round what happened tonight. All the passion from Pep & the players in the tunnel and on the touchline screams we wanted to win. On the pitch it looked like we were happy to get knocked out of this one. A few things had me thinking like how did Walker not catch Grigg? it honestly looked like he & Laporte slowed up when he got closer to goal. Why did Pep not throw Diaz or Foden on for Stones or somebody at 1-0 while we was looking for a goal? Or when we got a flurry of corners at the end why not throw Kompany on for Bernado? It's like he was happy to go out? Also Aguero went missing again. I know people will have a go at me for saying it but he did.
Agree, Diaz, Foden or Zinchenko could not have done any worse than Aguero or Bernardo

I said throw Kompany on last 10 for set pieces !!

Fuck it Blues, media blackout until Sunday then go out and play how we know we can, only ourselves to blame tonight, Wigan deserve to go through, simple as that, no point slagging the players off, mistakes happen, if we bounce back on Sunday we can brush this under the carpet (One of Bills preferably)... Griggs took that goal really well, fair play to the lad...

That big vein in my neck has only just stopped pulsing ffs....

Onwards we go Blues, any one of the players getting slagged could win us the Cup on Sunday....CTWD

Totally agree with it all. It was a very odd night all around.

Someone explain to me how delphs tackle deserved a red? I can take a foul, maybe a yellow, for excessive force, but it was one foot, not high and he got the ball. Speechless at that one.
20 yrs ago its a good challenge. In today's sterilised game those challengers are seen as a player not being in control and endangering an opponent. Personally speaking, its a good tackle but was always risking a red. The refs a tw*t all the same.
