Wilfried Bony is set to join Manchester City for close to £30m after add-ons

Wilfried Bony's move to Manchester City is set to be completed after Swansea accepted an offer worth close to £30million.

Sportsmail understands the initial fee is in excess of £25m, with further add-ons built into the deal.
Great business this. £25m + add ons is about right in the current market. Gives us different dimension in our attacking play, as sometimes its bit too predictable.

Wilfried Bony: Swansea agree £30m deal with Man City
Swansea City have agreed a fee in the region of £30m to sell striker Wilfried Bony to Premier League champions Manchester City.

Swansea manager Garry Monk previously said it would take an "astronomical" fee to prise the Ivory Coast striker, 26, away from the Liberty Stadium.

He was the Premier League's top scorer in the calendar year of 2014 with 20 goals.

Bony joined Swansea for a club-record £12m from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013.

The fee breaks the Welsh club record sale of £15m that Liverpool paid Swansea for midfielder Joe Allen in August 2012.

More to follow.
We've been royally rinsed for £10m more than his actual value, but a player is worth what someone is willing to pay for them, and if its what we have to pay to get him and he's the difference between title success or none, then so be it.
No rinsing at all mate, there's always a premium to pay in January.

Fee agreed is just under £28M, which means its £27.something (I have no idea what the point decimal is). Anything else you here is utter trash or sensationalism in order to attract folks to their headline and draw FFP attention to us and out spending (which is absolutely no worry as we all know).

Bony wanted this from just before transfer window opened. Bony never wanted to go anywhere else (for all those thinking Chelski - Express twats) and Yaya has helped him in this decision, believe it or not (despite the shit we give Yaya).

Will be watching the AfCON very closely now since our new signing spearheads the IVC attack and watch his chemistry with Yaya...

Considering that Lukau cost close on £30m and given the cost of other strikers, £30m is cheap. What matters to a cash rich club is not the cost, but whether he improves us, and I think he will.

Bony and Aguero is a terrific front two on paper.

We've got to see the real thing, but on paper is there a better front two in football?

A lot of City fans say that it has been a few seasons since City went out and bought a top player. We're just about to do it

Totally agree.

As soon as he scores wearing that blue jersey you are going to start dry humping and praising him... no rinsing whatsoever, we got a superb CF who might possibly be the difference in the title.

@JamesMcManus1: Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich - none of them would go anywhere near Bony at £30m. This is 2009 Man City.

Hahahahaha
