£25m initial payment is a very fair price.

I'll be interested to see if we are going for Lacazette as well as I think he could be a great player for us.

We've been royally rinsed for £10m more than his actual value, but a player is worth what someone is willing to pay for them, and if its what we have to pay to get him and he's the difference between title success or none, then so be it.
No rinsing at all mate, there's always a premium to pay in January.

Top goalscorer in 2014 and Swansea bought him for £12 million 2 years ago and has got better and better in the premiership if we buy him for £25 million id say that was a fair price and a great deal imho.

I'm surprised a few on here are hung up on the price. It's irrelevant IMO.

What is important is the contribution he will make to our success....it can only be measured in May and then we will have an idea of his worth.

@JamesMcManus1: Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich - none of them would go anywhere near Bony at £30m. This is 2009 Man City.

Hahahahaha

That is horseshit of the highest order. I don't know about the other teams but I can guarantee you that Real Madrid did have a sniff at Bony as Pérez has wanted a strong and technical true CF for a while and I think they might have gone for him if City had not made quick headway on this... well done Txiki/Pellers and team

this James McManus is clearly a chelsea fan who is frightened of us signing Bony (since he named Chelsea first in his list or all those big teams...

Yet united went for Shaw for more money.. hmmmmmmmmmmmph !!

great news, still think little on high side, guess thats january for u, means likely that edin of jov will be moved on in summer

I think if anything it's slightly on the cheap side.

I don't know about cheap, but certainly not unjustified. He is after all the most prolific striker in the PL this past year. And we already have the bloke who is second on that list.

Seeing Kun and Bony playing together will be very interesting to say the least.
Defenders wont know which way to turn tbh...
Go with kun leave Bony free...go with Bony leave Kun free..

Oh the dilemma of it all.. I need a lie down.. ;)

A very good signing and for a realistic price. But with us signing Bony doesn't mean the end of the road for either Dzeko or Jovetic imho.

Great deal! - £25 million for the TOP scorer in the Premier League in the calendar year 2014!
£3m bonus of we do well as a result in subsequent years.

Certainly not for Dzeko.

There is no chance we can land a major transfer this January.

For the 4th striker position we wouldn't need one.

A player of Bony's calibre would be the ideal.

A decent player but Swansea will take the piss with the price.

If Dzeko was to be sold then Bony isn't a good alternative.

Tongue in cheek on this. It would of been too much of a gamble if we bought directly from Vitesse as he was unproven and Negredo at the time seemed the better fit.
