Why do people get so precious about transfer fees

Surely if the people actually paying the money aren't bothered then why should we be?

Kind of has an effect of FFP and indicates that the transfer team missed an opportunity. Why aren't we allowed to talk about this?

When did I suggest we wouldn't be ok. Its pretty damn arrogant to say we have an owner that is "Richer than God" so as fans we don't care how efficiently our club is being run. Money is paramount in Football. Look how it affected us from a purely football perspective this particular season.

When did I suggest we wouldn't be ok. Its pretty damn arrogant to say we have an owner that is "Richer than God" so as fans we don't care how efficiently our club is being run. Money is paramount in Football. Look how it affected us from a purely football perspective this particular season.

Well no its not arrogant at all, we have to comply with FFP so clearly there is a limit on what we can spend

I would just imagine, with some faint hope, that the guys that we imply to crunch the numbers have got it all worked out, and that perhaps we can afford to pay £28 million for a footballer

Clearly if the above is incorrect, then perhaps you should send your CV into MCFC HR Department

There were rumours he'd had one in Abu Dhabi, could be true as it'd be hard to conduct a valid medical mid ACON.

I'd imagine he will have had it in the last couple of days, that piccy of the lad with the City shirt sat on his knee is a telling story

I don't know why anyone would question the fee really... he has prem experience which makes him more expensive... we're paying for him which usually makes him more expensive... Lukaku's price is a good benchmark from my point of view and we're signing the top scorer from last calendar year, a proven nuisance to defenders and someone who can hold the ball up extremely well and has a good first touch and in his prime. We can get a good 3-4 seasons out of him and he is likely to get better and better over this time.
