I don t think that Shalcke can afford Nastasic payments and i don t think that Nastasic will accept to leave and play there with less money
Schalke's director have already said that Nastasic wants to come to Schalke, so that means probably he is willing to take paycut to play regularly.

I still don't understand why the club didn't take UEFA to court especially once they started shifting the goal posts at the last minute. We shouldn't have to be discussing this shit every time we want to sign a player.

Obviously wasn't worth it. FFPR won't exactly be a disadvantage after this season, seeing as we have higher revenues than all but 4/5 clubs.

At some point we might need to have a bit of an overhaul of the squad. We are fine at the moment but you never know what will happen in a few years time. If at some point things go a bit tits up and we felt we needed to do what say united have done in the last 12 months, would we be able to do it? We might be making a profit now having reigned things in deliberately to comply with their shite rules but would we be making a profit if we went out and spunked 200 million on players?

However, Shalke will have no problems.

Correct. Plus most of the FFP chat is speculation which is passed off as fact.

Make messi happen !! (on paper) do the math .... ;)
Sky sports news are going discuss at 11am whether Messi will leave barca. That balague guy will be on, probably spouting shit.... i.e. 100% to the rags :-)

On the Bony front I'm happy if we sign him from an ability perspective. He's a very good striker, with an eye for goal, and he brings aerial ability, power, and strength, which we lack at present from our strikers (Dzeko SHOULD provide these things, but all too often is surprisingly weak when it comes to the physical battle). My only concern is the whole African Cup Of Nations bollocks, every 2 years Bony, just like Yaya, will disappear for 6 weeks or so, right at the heart of the season. Losing 1 key player is difficult, losing 2 will be doubly so. It really does baffle me how UEFA, and it's higher profile clubs, haven't put pressure on FIFA and the African Football Association to address the scheduling of this competition. There's really no need for it to be every 2 years, and the weather angle behind it's mid-season scheduling doesn't really hold water for a continent that straddles the equator like Africa does.

This bonus confusion stems from two completely different elements of FFP.

We are currently under sanctions / restrictions one of which is not to increase our wage bill (we can assume that bonuses are excluded from this sanction and therefore that is why we have moved to low basic wages and high bonuses).

Normal FFP has a break even calculation at its heart that relates to all footballing cost so the bonuses are definitely part of the costs that need to be covered by income to meet the break even test. Some costs / income are excluded but that relates to development of infrastructure etc core football expense would definitely be included.

I dont think any well managed club should need an overhaul at anytime its about adding one or two top players every year plus a couple of squad players every year and hopefully bringing on a youngster or two.

Only if Manchester City Council agree to rename the city "Yayaville".

Potentially not, so maybe that's the thought process behind this. However the Yaya situation (i.e. him fecking off to Africa every other January) has been a source of frustration, and has had a negative impact on the squad, since his arrival. All we're doing is switching that from Yaya to Bony, which doesn't change anything really.

If you want to discuss yaya. Then fuck off to the yaya thread. This thread is about Bony!
