There's always hope. It's going to be a long day, and I hope City target different players simultaneously. To get the one whose club blinks first :)

I think pacy winger like Zaha would be more useful long-term than Mahrez, who is basically Bernardo with a better shot when played as RW. If/when we get a worldclass forward/false 9 (Griezmann, Hazard etc.), he would need more space created by fast wingers, not overcrowded center with Mahrez always moving inside.
 
By all accounts he's still in Zabaleta's pocket.

Even when playing in front of the defence.

He`s a very good player IMO. He`s got 7 goals and 4 assists for a pretty bad team, and would probably have the double amount of goals and assists if he played for us. However, The S*n says he would cost 50m. That`s a lot for him

Is it though? Considering we got bernardo for 43 million, add on the home-grown factor and the market inflation i would be okay with 50m

He’s not good enough for a top team as he proved when he couldn’t hack it at Utd , he’s done well as a big fish in a small pond . Countless players if fall into this category

We won’t be touching him because of point 1 imho

He’d be a squad player at best , could you see him displacing Leroy or Raheem ?

We need someone who can do it in the big games when you need a cold eyed killer to finish the few chances you get

He couldn`t hack it at United ? Who the fuck can nowadays.Play him with a very good manager and watch him mature.Has the pace and the skills but don`t forget he`s playing with good players NOT megastars.

You know it’s about squad now and players get rested in a long season when you going for all the major trophies
