Wilfried Zaha

Sounds like he staying at palace....

"I have no plans on leaving. I'm enjoying my football, you can see how much I'm enjoying it," Zaha said.

"This is my home and there's no reason for me to leave."

I hope he is staying at Palace but I heard his interview and, whilst I'm sure his answer was honest, I imagine a £50m offer to Palace, a big pay rise and a chance to compete for game time with the best team English football has ever seen might become reasons for him to leave if they presented themselves.

Watch these & i dare someone to tell me we don't need a player like him...
Good on the ball, decent passing ability, calm... not afraid to take on a player as he's brilliant at dribbling his way through...
Right-footed as well, so he'd slot in smoothly in that lw and we'd be able to finally play sane on the right side.

I've severally argued he is the best fit of any player in the prem. But I object on the basis of his injury record.

Think we need someone strong in front of goal....I get the feeling he gives us what we already have (pace/assists etc) but is weak in what we need (another goal scorer)

He's not too bad in the air - which is an area where we are not great but then again we dont hand too many up in the air and you certainly wouldnt sign Zaha for his heading ability. I think Mahrez would give us a bit more than Zaha in that he fits our system but if Pep wants something a bit different then Mahrez becomes less attractive. I still wonder whether the front three signing will be someone who has slipped under the radar.

He's going to be the most wanted player pre world cup for sure.

Before everyone gets wooed by the next Diouf/Cisse etc, everyone will have eyes on him.

It's in Palace's interests to sell and sell extremely high before the world cup kicks off. If they leave it longer, someone else will lure the eyes without question. Happens every tournament year.

Good player for a shit team who will tolerate him giving it away 20 times a game because every third game he might get something right and score or create a goal. Just looks like the sort of player that Spurs will spend a fortune on and never get anything good out of.

Amen to that mate! Unbelievable the clamor for zaha is getting

Guardiola on his favourite prem teams to watch, mentions the top teams excluding Arsenal lol and "I like Crystal Palace with [Wilfried] Zaha and other players."

Planting the seed

Not really, cos the counterpoint to that argument is that if a player stands out a mile in a shit team, then it’s likely to be because he’s half decent. The fact that Pep has previously enthused over Zaha personally suggests he sees a player with attributes that he cherishes or thinks might be further developed. Look at how raw Sterling was 2 years ago compared to now. Mahrez is is probably a more intelligent and technically accomplished player, but Zaha would bring no little amount of skill of his own, plus a physicality and blistering pace. Also I think he’s better suited to playing anywhere across the front line than Mahrez
