wilkins on sky

Yeah as soon as the ball crossed the line on the decisive penalty, the game is over so Yaya can take all of his clothes off. Dermot cleared that up on Sky yesterday. The desperation is laughable anyway.

Anybody who genuinely believes there is no bias shown towards certain rival teams is living in la la land.

The highlights were edited on Sky to make it look like we both had an equal amount of chances and I must have heard from about 4 different Sky experts how Liverpool were very unlucky not to win the game outright before the shootout, despite us missing an absolute comical amount of chances.

To top it off, that twat who presents ref watch on Sky Sports News was bleating on for ages about how Caballero's saved penalties should have been re-taken because he was off his line. Once again Dermot had to put him in his place.

It's ridiculous. It's difficult to ignore as well because it's nice to watch the reaction from the game to relive the moments, but then you get bombarded with bitterness and bullshit by the highly paid experts who can't summon up the strength to show a bit of balance or impartiality.

so coutinho should have been booked for time wasting and excessive celebration .. so is taking your shirt off a bookable offence for excessive celebrating or time wasting ??
they are not trying to even things out. they want yaya banned for the Liverpool game.

Ooh, what did DG say about that?

Is the show available on catchup? PResumably not if it's SSN?

Players should not be sent off for technicalities - two yellow cards for technicalities is pretty absurd. Persistent fouling, violent play, foul and abusive language should be the stuff of red cards. I remember Cahill getting sent off, having already got a yellow, by taking off his shirt. Stevie Bennett was the whistling wanker and it turned out that the directive from the FA had been a bit hit and miss IIR. Pretty ridiculous when you consider some of the outrageous tackles we've seen on Aguero and Silva. Punishment for two yellow technical offences should be a ten min sin bin. I'd also be giving goalkeepers yellow cards for timewasting - the first one coming on the first incident of timewasting. It ain't as though they don't know the Laws of the Game.

Im not a Ray Wilkins fan coz I think he is a **** for some of the things hes done. However, its hard to label him as a City hater or a thick **** because last week on Talk Sport he defended Pellers actions in the team he picked for the FA cup and Champs league. His defense reasoning was actually spot on about injuries, we are right to prioritize Champs league, not only for our clubs reasons but we are being asked by FA and Prem League to do as well as we can to protect our European co efficient. He mentioned also that that it wasn't us that disrespect the FA cup when there have been so many precedents set over the years inc United not entering it. That Pellers had no option and congratulated him on in managing well. That dick head Danny Kelly tried to rise him by stating Barcelona played Sat and flew to England for Tuesday, he repelied and put him back into his very large box by explaining that too many people are lookin too narrow at this and the true picture is actually Barcelona do not have a Cup Final to play the next weekend and that European clubs have the benefit of a winter break too.

Like I say im not a Wilkins fan but i will point out he did actually back us when so many wanted to hang us out to dry. He also spoke very well of Rosler when he came on.

As the game technically ended when Yaya's penner hit the net, the shirt removal was after the game, so he could have claimed he was going to swap shirts but had been sweating a lot so he wanted to air it first. Shame so called experts dont know the rules of the game as taking your shirt off after the match has finished isnt a bookable offense.

On Coutinho he got a yellow for excessive celebration, so by the letter of the law couldnt have been booked twice, unless it was seen as ungentlemanly conduct.

Or was Adebayor.

i feel sorry for Sky here, they have actually paid good money to Wilkins to give his expert opinion.

they have paid money to someone who doesnt know the rules..

I think i'm most surprised that the boring twat actually had an opinion on something for a change.

for someone who has been in the game as long as he has to think that makes him a thick ****...plain & simple.......

Nobody mentioned Rashford should have been sent off v Midjytilland for jumping into the crowd twice.
I mentioned it very loudly much to the annoyance of my wife who was trying to get to sleep. Didn't get booked for either did he? Cheating twats. As for Wilkins or anyone else suggesting Yaya could have been booked, honestly, I don't think I have ever heard such a load of bollocks. Embarrassing.

I thought when a player is booked for going shirtless it was because they are time wasting?

You can't waste time when the match is finished.
I thought it was because sponsors kept complaining that the opportunity to have their logo in the media when goals are scored and players are zoomed in on with the tv cameras disappears when they take their shirts off that sponsor cannot be seen.

This is all part of the media's mind games.

They're diverting attention away from the fact that City were again denied a stonewall penalty in a big game.

Their focus is on Yaya taking his shirt off so they can brainwash the thick masses into thinking that City 'got away with one'.

They've stretched so hard with this one though that even supporters of other teams are confused as to why this is even a point of discussion.

The daily fail have a article on it they say that shoot outs do not count no mention of game ending etc No offence no card
