News like this makes football not important...
After watching a very emotional pre match minutes silence (all started clapping and singing "one Gary Speed" at Swansea, Shay was a little tearful, the players have got on with job and not a bad first half from Swansea.
The news when I saw it was shocking and I was genuinely upset, I have never met or spoke to Gary Speed, so my sadness was about a well respected figure passing at such a young age, reports are that Bellers idolised GP and on that understanding My condolences to him and all that were connected with GP.
If those players close to GP want to play or not then that decision should and will be respected, as will whatever is decided to be done as a mark of respect before the game today by both sets of fans.
RIP Gary Speed.

It certainly does to me. I am genuinely upset by todays news, Gary Speed was one of footballs good guys, a very talented player respected by football fans from all clubs. I can only imagine what his family are going through and my thoughts are with them.
But, life goes on - it has to. This is still a huge game for us, we have to focus on the win.

Agreed its bad news, but with no Bellamy we can capitalize on this and take the 3 points. Death is just part of life, football is life for a lot of people!

Sad sad news. but with out football none of us would of even heard of gary speed. thats why today is still important, if we were to loose today come the end of may it would be hard to say 'oh its alright because of gary speed' i know this seems harsh but my two pennys worth.
