When i got up this morning I was confused and thought there'd been a major de-escalation in the Ukraine, because otherwise how could these daft buggers be the top story?? At least the (quasi) respectable papers have now moved it down the page.

Life pre-digital, this would have quickly blown over but now this will be meme material forever and a day. What sane person would want to be famous these days, everything you do documented on an endless loop of 'entertainment' on the internet.

Yes, but you would wait until you were backstage and take it from there. That was fucking awful. And the boak inducing speech topped even the slap. I'm in bed with covid and it was either going to be another day of staring at the screen reading about the world falling apart or, as it turns out, doing a frame by frame, Monday Night Football style analysis of an impossibly rich, emotionally unstable egomaniac slapping premium Chris Tucker because his wife was still annoyed about that joke he made about her attempting to boycott an award ceremony she wasn't invited to.
