it’s a minor incident in the grand scheme of things and Monday seemed a bit insane with how big it got, but I’m intrigued to see where the dust settles and if careers or comedians or award ceremonies In general will be effected.

It's a minor incident in the sense that it's just one bloke slapping another. But in terms of the context, it's basically like a footballer slapping the referee in the World Cup final. I mean how much did Zidane's headbutt get talked about?
