"Will the Etihad ever sell out?" - Metro poll

Two separate arguments.
Our stadium capacity has more than doubled since 2003, so in the short term, there's always going to be the odd game that isn't a sellout.
So fucking what? Does it really matter, when the swamp also has regular games that don't sellout?
If I was a rag, then I'd be more concerned that the attendance gap is closing, and will close even further when the North Stand is redeveloped.

Meanwhile, the media play to the gallery, so Talksport embellish a few myths. Some rivals fall for it, and some rivals don't. The majority of fans remember our attendances in 1998, but others prefer to accuse us of glory hunting.
Either way, I prefer it to the days when we were shit.

Its not luck just not being overly paranoid. I cant think of a single clubs fans who hate us more than United. Also I find when you break away from this silly I hate scousers/cockneys/Mancs stuff I find talking to other football fans more engaging than the majority of people I meet having a shared interest/passion.

Its also noticeable when we played West Ham 2014 Newcastle away/QPR 2012 how pleased opposition fans were for us. This everyone hates us is not reality.

Exactly.

I've lived in the North East for nearly 20 years now, and discussions I have on football with locals is invariably positive. There's always a bit of banter (wwywyws) but most Toon fans I know have generally good views on City. There's certainly now an underlying envy which wasn't there when I moved up here, but it's not usually expressed in a nasty way. I watched the Newcastle-City penultimate game of the 11-12 season in a bar crammed with Geordies, and the good humour of every single one was incredible, despite the fact they'd just probably blown the chance of Champions' League footy the following season.

I've found fans in the North East have always been good to chat football with. They tend to love the game for what it is and not go in for the pantomime that the media portray.

what a shitty website, never been there before and never will again. Nearly every City "Story" was negative about us. WTF.

City are still on their way up, we are going to become even more global, we are going to have an even more massive fanbase. These fuckers that run the pro-Utd media (Because that's where the money is supposedly) will have to change their tune. They will have to be more City fan friendly, because that is where the money will be infuture.

but this site, can fuck off for now, and when they realise that Utd fans are being outnumbered by city fans they can fuck off even further

Thats just it,i was on about this the other day,the media are all Ushited,Liverpool and Chelsea fanboys.
The thing is,its fckn killing them that we are up there upsetting the apple cart. How dare little City come and play in our sandpit mentality.
They hate it,you can see it in reporters faces,in the articles the way they have to have a dig about something in the past.
End of the day they are gonna have to lump it or fck off,we are here to stay and down the line we will have our own fanboys in the media world.

That's the fucking beauty of it, they put us down, cried and bitched and moaned, never saw us coming, "sleeping giant", "not in my lifetime', City here to stay, fuck them.
