Will the rags target Carlos?

Last season the rags came to our place about two months after Sweep had re-signed for us. e was on fire at the time, going past players at will.

Taggart obviously had a game plan which was that if Sweep went past a United player, they were to give him a kicking. It was only after about 5 or 6 hacks that the ref started showing cards (one was for Ronaldo, who of course got a second for his handball from the corner).

What worries me is that if you look at how we have done under Mancini, we have been very good when Carlos is in the team (Wolves away, Chelsea, the last two games) and largely mediocre when he is not (Hull away, the 3 Stoke games, Liverpool).

Whatever else he may be, Taggart is not stupid, and he is certainly cynical enough to say to his team 'I want you to kick so and so out of the game'.

Will he do that? Will the ref be brave enough to protect Carlos?

I think that on the pitch, certainly at our place, we have got the beating of United, and I think that they know it. That's why I think they will do whatever it takes to try and win, and I think that kicking Carlos will be a big part of their tactics.

Bacon face is losing his power and City through Mancini are fast becoming the medias favorites. If they target Tevez it will be too obvious and the Refs hand will be forced, its also up to us fans to put the pressure on the ref throughout the game

The fact that they have Ade to worry about also is a big boost for us

Yeh they'll target him, likewise Johnson IMO, but we'll be targeting Neville surely!!
0% chance of him playing v us.

I hope so, then I can give him a load of shit from 121 when he's warming up

A month or so ago I'd have agreed with you, but he's actually been on pretty good form for them, and isn't Ferdinand out or at least a major doubt on Saturday? I honestly think he might play, dont think in ideal circumstances Fuck face would pick him against our pacey attack, but it might be a case of needs must.

didnt o'shea go off with an injury?

if so they will be thin at the back and he may play.

They'd used all there subs when Ferdinand got injued, played last 5 up front I think, I thought I heard today somewhere that Ferdinand is either out or very doubtfull for the Derby.

Yes. I expect Fletcher to watch him as he drops deep, and clatter him first chance they get. I certainly hope we are practicing free kicks this week - they'll be giving away planty against us I feel. I will definitely be putting something on a scum player seeing red anyway.

However, Carlos to his credit does not get beaten down easily, and hopefully our attacking options will mean that targeting one player will do them no good this time.
