Will the U21 tourney exhaust Richards for next season?

When does the tournament start...... Micah injured at the minute so i am sure City will have a big say whether he plays

It's not so much the physical side of things but the mental issue aswel. We have a long hard season in England with no breaks and for anyone not have a decent amount of time off and cool down period through the summer then somwhere along the line next season you can feel mentally exhausted from constant training and games.

I'm praying he doesn't pick up another virus that keeps him abroad and stops him from getting a full pre season in if any!

Like someone said, we have cover for him if games come thick and fast and why the hell is he not even in the seniour squad?! That's the joke! I can't think of a better English right back than Micah with the form he's currently in.

He got injured in the warm up before the Bolton game, so hopefully we will pretend it's much more serious than it really is!

If we pulled Richards, we would be slagged to high heaven for 'ruining England's future'.
Liverpool and Arsenal do the same and their managers are 'canny' and simply 'protecting their players',

Hope thats the case tbh

I understand everyone's concerns but on the other hand I am proud of him, in an interview on the OS he was saying that he hoped Wilshire and Carroll would play as they could have a good team. He was happy to play for the team when really he should be playing for the senior team, no feeling that he was too good for the U21. I hope he does play and the whole lot of them do really well, without Wilshere and Carroll because let's be honest if they had played in the eye's of the press they would have carried the team. If they play with an ounce of Micah's passion and commitment they should be onto a good thing!

go on holiday micah, roast as any birds as you want, live the dream motherfucker!!!

The impression I got is that Micah does care about an U21 tournament. I don't disagree with others who say he shouldn't play etc but I admire the fact that the team needs him and he won't let them down, shows he is professional and has loyalty not like others who believe their own hype.

all this talk of players being 'exhausted' is absolute bollocks, they've never had it so easy, how did they used to go on in days gone by ffs?

That view is bollocks. Try and come into the modern game.
