Will we win the league? (continued)

Re: Will we win the Prem / Title still possible (merged)

I've been confident for a while of us beating Everton. I think historically our struggles there have been because of a hard working, physical David Moyes' side who had a personal vendetta against us for signing Lescott the way we did. Now Martinez is there I am more confident - he has them playing football the right way and therefore we will create chances. Without Mirallas and Barry they lack the balance and attacking threat they have had this season. I think Barry will be a huge loss for them in midfield. It will be a difficult game of course but I am confident we can go and win it. They've lost games recently, they've got the pressure of trying to finish 4th and I think their injuries are starting to derail them. Each game as it comes but I am confident we can win this, and if we do, I am also confident Liverpool will fail to beat Palace.

I'm watching the Monday View on SSN. Pretty decent analysis of the title run in.

Meedja seem to be backtracking from the scouse love in now, highly amusing. :)

Can't see this group of players letting it go now.. They'll be fucking right up for it in training this week. We've got a full week to prepare mentally/tactically & the leaders in the camp will be right in each others ears about how close this is for us now. One huge effort at an injury hit Everton gives us the biggest of opportunities to win the title. We looked so hungry yesterday, you could literally see it in the eyes of the players. This is our Newcastle 2012 moment and we WILL get the job done.

the point gained against Sunderland may prove quite useful, but it sure would feel a lot better today if we had taken all 3, giving us a little wiggle room for a draw in the final 3. That chance Nasri blazed over will either be forgotten forever or something i'll never be able to forget, depending on how this plays out.

Deep down, would any long-standing Blue have it any other way?

Probably not, but I won't stand for another QPR. I legitimately don't know if I'd survive a 2nd time and I'm only 32. I have no idea how we didn't lose like 10,000 geriatric blues that day

They are made or sterner stuff than us young and middle aged bed wetters.

Out of the 3 of us it is Chelsea who have these easiest run in - they wont slip up now especially when the CL game goes 'on hold' so to speak if they reach the final.
I know they have the worst goal difference but Everton for us & Palace for the dippers are both difficult games and neither of us tend to draw - it's win or bust. Come 10 pm next Monday night Chelsea could be in pole position irrespective of what drivel Maureen is sprouting at the moment.

I hope Yaya gives his talk to the players like he did before Newcastle in 2012 (End of season DVD)

Nervous already for Saturday

Greetings all. First post here. Destiny is now in your control. From the outside(Australia) looking in I feel your in the best position to take the title. Never really followed an EPL side but since January have been taking more interest in City and your forum. Try and take solace that everyone else in the league would die to be in your position that your in right now. Easier said than done but good luck and you have another bloke in Melbourne hoping for the best.

A massive game away, getting three points at Everton wont be easy. Expect one sided refereeing, as the press already had their liverpool love in all lined up.
