Will we win the league this season? No

I agree and doubt West Ham will take any points from Arsenal….but that was my point that even if we had won last night we still needed Arsenal to drop points at West Ham due to the potential goal difference being too great.

Yeah it was a long shot anyway. Playing twice and winning twice before we played was a huge advantage. They took that opportunity.

Whatever happens it’s been a good season. However we need to win the FA cup. Chelsea are shit and we cannot lose to them.

Yet they are still top of the PL table and in the CL final.

It doesn’t work like that.

The players will be fighting for a place in the CL final team.

The thought of possibly getting injured won’t enter their minds.

Arteta will probably already know his CL final team with a few tweaks.

The only way West Ham would have a chance is to play like Everton did. Very physical. Unfortunately they don’t play like that.

They’ll be on such a high now I don’t think they’ll lose another game. Until the champs league final where they’ll get bummed off whoever they play
Hoping that PSG or Bayern slot ten by them and set a CL record. Just after they bottle it against West Ham and we pip them to the title of course.

I’m not bothered if they win or lose the champions league,
Even though it a wonderful trophy,

I get the satisfaction of beating them in a 38 game league whats reputed to be the hardest league in the world.

And I still believe it’s open for us.

It would be great if we could take it to the last game so we can make them sweat a little but I don’t think that’s going to happen as we look like we could drop a few more points.

The difference now being a draw for them vs West Ham prob isnt enough for us

I was hoping they would get knocked out by Atletico or atleast taken to extra time but winning against them and going to the final is going to give them a massive confidence boost. I think they will beat West Ham handily.

Arsenal have got the momentum now.

They are in the CL final.

They could win the PL title and the CL, god forbid.

They will absolutely bust a gut to win the PL title before the CL final.

It’s like when City did the Proper Treble.

Pep, the players, and the fans believed and knew we were going to do it.
There's no comparison between the momentum we built up in spring 2023, as we steamrollered a succession of top class opponents, and Arsenal's "momentum" in this run as they limp towards the finish line with a string of unconvincing performances.

You're right to say that Pep, the team and the fans all believed we'd do it. By way of a contrast I don't think either Arteta, their players or even most of their fans truly believe yet that they'll win anything.

The league is still very much up for grabs

2026 is a repeat of 2012:

We come from 3-1 down after 83 minutes to snatch 3-3 draw, thinking our title hopes are over.

Our title rivals lose away to a relegation rival beginning with the letter W.

We go on to win our remaining games and snatch the title on the last day, probably having another coronary along the way!

It's written in the stars folks.

Well losing to us didn’t hurt their confidence for their next two matches it seemed to make them refocus

However we then went away to Burnley and struggled after a huge celebratory performance. No reason that couldn’t happen to Arsenal at West Ham

It's a tough ask. Arsenal will have gained confidence from reaching the CL final and that final is secure now, so they'll take that confidence into the league. Of course we could be sat here at the weekend talking about how they fucked up against West Ham, it's very possible but the reality is West Ham where they are for a reason, yeah you can pull up Arsenal not beating Wolves, but there's still a high chance they beat West Ham.

My head tells me that we will just fall short and Arsenal will get over the line. And even if they do drop points, I'm still not sure we win all our games. We felt the pressure on Monday night.

We still have some strengthening to do before we are a team that consistently win trophies again.

You just contradicted yourself

You said the players will be fighting for places but that Arteta will already know his team.

The fact is there will be as many as 8-9 players who know they are definite starters in that final so they might end up having one eye on it

Well hopefully we are on course to win two trophies this season, that’s not bad.

At this moment in the season, the relegation threatened sides run through brick walls to save themselves. I think there is a 30%-40% chance that West Ham take points from Arsenal.
Or fold

We got 3 home games let’s remember we haven’t lost at home since the first match of the season not sure how many draws or wins we had but being at home could secure us 9 points .

And don’t think Bournemouth away could be The Benana skin some people on here recon .

I know a lot of people on here that possibly Arsenal could slip up at West Ham .
But let’s not forget Arsenal hone form of lately hasn’t been all that impressive.

From a team unbeaten at home in all competitions have now lost 3or 2 in the recent months. Recently they didn’t play that well against a poor performing Newcastle team . But played very well against a inform Fulham team.

That tells me their home form at the moment is hit and miss .
And if they don’t perform well the Arsenal fans certainly get on the Backs of there players.

I sure one of there home Games is against Burnley and a other low placed team.

Hope they don’t just lie over and die .

But give them a performance they can be proud of especially seeing there season is well and truly over
