Will we win the league this season?

Hopefully. Whilst we won't go on winless streaks like that can't help think too much footy catches up with us again. Squad look motivated enough, hopefully the younger sognings can give us energy.

Like many are saying, this WC will play a bit of a part in the coming season, that there is no doubt, but as long as Pep doesn't get his wish of a small squad we ware gonna be just fine with a few more additions to cover the ones that are going out of the door.

Also if Pep introduces his new bird to the world, he might be less agitated than last season, as that obviously played a huge part, unless of course I'm right in thinking we were asked to throw it a bit

I don't think a right back is vital. We can win the league with a hole in the squad. We won the treble without a left back.

We may not win the league but we will very likely fight strongly for this because:

a) Over 19 games in 2025 we won more points in the PL than any other side,
b) Rodri and Stones are now fit, and they missed much of 2024/25,
c) We have added Marmoush, Ait Nouri, Reijnders and Cherki which is a significant upgrade to our squad.
I would be thinking more in terms of 26/27 for a win. True the squad is stronger but the team needs an identity and structure. I would finetune next season make one or two big signings next summer and away we go again. Maybe Pep will hang around a bit longer and we can collect another 2 or 3 on the trot.

A lot of our players are still quite young, particularly in attack.
Liverpool were convincing winners this season, but without convincing opposition.
City were devastated by injuries in central defense and Arsenal in attack.

I've no idea who is going to win the league next season but I'd be very surprised if it is not a lot closer than last season.

That's nonsense

It surely can’t be similar to last season with some of the results we had, I mean let’s take a few examples

0-4 at home to Spurs- really?

1-2 at home to rags -How the fuck?

1-0 away at Forest - what the fuck?

2-1 away at Bournemouth - as if

1-1 home to Everton - give over

2-2 away to Brentford - 2-0 up with 8 mins left- bollocks

Not to mention the dismal displays in the CL, or the icing on the cake a 1-0 loss to Crystal fucking Palace in the cup final, unbelievable

That’s just taking a few examples, we were instructed I’m convinced, and we said we will as long as we get a CL spot, they said fine but finish 3rd to make it look realistic

This season WILL be different in all comps
Love this post mate my thinking to a T haha :-)

The current City side is considerably stronger than the side that finished the season and City were the best performing side in 2025. If Liverpool or Arsenal make a leap forward then we have a problem. Liverpool have made major signings but they have also lost Trent and locked themselves into 33 year old and 34 year old players who as we know can deteriorate quickly.

Why is it?
Your comment is poorly written incorporating waffle and negative argument, e.g., as 'bit of a part', 'as long as Pep doesn't get his wish of a small squad we ware gonna be just fine with a few more additions to cover the ones that are going out of the door.'

I assume you don't want Pep to reduce the current squad-size. He will do so. I think that will be fine providing the replacements are better and the injury rate goes down.

I’m hopeful we can bounce back very strongly next season. We have freshened up the squad nicely both in January window and the mini window.

If the players gel we will be challenging, having the CWC is great chance for the players to work together competitively rather than just a pre season friendly.

The glaring weakness now is the right back position if that can be solved I’ll be very happy. If not i fear it will be targeted relentlessly every single game.

We'll be challenging for it at the very least and that is all that can be asked of anyone. Personally I think we will win it
