Will we win the league this season?

My arrogance? You've spent the vast majority of your time on this thread saying Arsenal will bottle the league, as if there's no difference to the team's squad depth this time round! The evidence so far indicates they won't. They've won at Newcastle despite being 1-0 down at 83 minutes. Conceded an injury time equaliser to Wolves and then went up the other end and scored. Had some wobbles in recent games but held on. All with a horrendous injury list that is now alleviating meaning soon there will basically be a full squad to choose from. All games they wouldn't have done so in the last couple of seasons BTW as we had absolute crap to come in when a key man got injured.

I can't say for sure Arsenal will win the league but it would be dangerous from a City perspective to do anything other than focus on City's results and reel off win after win. If you go 7 points behind and expect Arsenal to bottle it this season then I think you'll be disappointed, not the least because you'll have to make up that many points yourself and this is a City team in transition that's lost one of the best playmakers the league has ever seen, and with some other historically key players coming to the end of their City careers, whilst bedding in the next generation. This ain't the Centurions hunting Arsenal down. The bookies aren't stupid.
I think you'll find there is an inherent city bias on this forum. Can't think why.......

Not creeping up on Arsenal. creeping up on us and Villa.
Definitely - but the point I was trying to make is that all the talk is Arsenal v us, not Liverpool. There's no pressure on them as everyone has written them off. In the meantime they've gone up the table and are now 4th. Ok, they are a good few points off the top but it's not impossible from their position and they are improving.

I don't think Liverpool will win it, but they can turn up the heat on the teams above and certainly have enough to make Arsenal worried for Thursday. As I've already said, pressure does weird things and you only know you can handle it once you've won the league. Winning the league is harder than any other trophy.

Arsenal have a hard set of fixtures coming up - Liverpool (H), Chelsea (A), United (H) in January and all 3 are games you can easily see them dropping points in. Liverpool have Fulham (A), Arsenal (A), Burnley (H), Bournemouth (A) and if they win all 3 they will be in the running.

It is written in the stars. There is a Blue Moon on 31st May, which also happens to be my birthday. The title is ours.
Did you see the rise of the Wolf Moon tonight? Spectacular.

dont like we still have to go to old toilet, anfield, Stamford bridge while Arsenal all have these out of the way.
. they have to visit us though but that has a huge draw written over it imo.

If we’d offered West Ham £180m for Rice and paid him the same as Haaland it would still have been good business. Pretty certain we’d have two more FA Cups and last year’s title if we had.

I can't disagree with any of this. Looking at your subs you were able to bring on Trossard and Zubimendi whereas we can bring on Savinho and Lewis.

You are also physically strong and quick, attack and defend in numbers, and can always rely on a set-piece goal. Not pretty but effective.

So, although the unexpected can happen I don"t think it will and you'll walk it by 10 or more points.
