I think it's too soon to say what this upcoming season has in store. For one thing, I do think Doku has improved a bit of late. I felt he was one of our more dangerous attacking threats down the stretch even if there is room to improve. Savinho only has a year under his belt and we've seen players in the past take a big step from year one to year two under Pep. Mahrez was pretty quiet in his first year for example. Not comparing him to Riyad, just saying I've learned not to write players off too soon. Additionally, we will have Cherki, Marmoush and probably even Phil taking some turns outside so I think the pecking order will depend on who is performing well, which combinations show the best chemistry and what system Pep lands on. We have a decent number of options to select from though. It looks like Doku and Savinho are going to get considerable game time. So we would need them to up their goal scoring/assists significantly which I'm not convinced will happen, hopefully I'm wrong.
There are loads of positives though with the new signings and the return of Rodri and Foden. Also saw a few good signs from Haaland dropping deeper and getting more involved with people running past him.
It's going to be an exciting season!
