Will we win the league this season?

Just wait til Ait Nouri Cherki Marmoush and Khusanov are fit and we will have rotation options to burn.

I know it’s ifs and buts and maybes but had we held on at arsenal we’d be looking at a win today to go top

It’s back in our own hands (without having to win at anfield) which is a much better feeling than I had after the spurs and Brighton games

Arsenal look very strong. Liverpool do not. I think City need to win today to establish belief in the players that we are playing for a title.

Arsenal are putting in the most consistent performances in these opening games. However they've done this in previous seasons and faltered late season when put under pressure. We need to ensure we are close to maintain that pressure.
I've always felt that Arsenal and Arteta are too emotional and lack that winning mentality when the heat is on.
But I would have them as slight favourites as there are less question marks about them at the minute than us and Liverpool.

Arsenal have great squad depth, so do we when everyone is fit. The 2 big differences are Haaland v Gyokores, and their defence, one big in our favour, one in theirs. 19th April could be huge. I agree about the dippers - Slot did great with Klopp’s team, he looks flustered with his own

I agree, we have a lot more powder in the barrel to kick on in the latter stages of the campaign.

Win today and we are definitely in the title race. Whether that's for one game or the whole season will depend on what happens after the international break. We have got the potential to challenge, but we will need lots of players who have been inconsistent so far to start firing.

I dont think we'll win it. But the total points to win it will be low (relatively to recent history). Will be low 80's or even high 70's, which it used to be when the rags/Arsenal won it in the low quality days of the 90's/early 2000's.

Think we'll fall short but be within a couple of wins of the eventual winners...

We always had superiority in the middle, with the injuries to Rodri and the poor signing, we had lost the edge.

Got to be a 90 minute team to win the league, and unfortunately we have had too many games this season where we have a great 45/60 mins and then look mid-table.

It's starting to look habitual.

Just don't think we will have the consistency to be there until the end.

I do think we will be back to being an 80+ point team again though.

Think we are 5 points ahead this season compared with corresponding games we had against the same opposition last season.
Scum plus 3
The Arse plus 1
Today plus 2.

I'm happy with that.

Said we needed to keep in reasonable distance come the second international break. Landmark achieved. Also closer than I hoped wanted 5 points….

Think these are both fair takes and on the money.
