Will we win the league this season?

We looked worse than Liverpool have in any game today so, if they’re not going to, we won’t.

I said in this thread previously that we’ll probably be the league’s top scorers and give some teams a right hammering in some games, but we’ll be too inconsistent to win the league. Nothing I’ve seen from us has changed my mind since then.

There’ll be a fair few more games like today.

Was a big test for us today but we weren’t good enough. Really need to stay close to Arsenal. If we let them run away even they won’t choke this time.

The spine of the team is wank.
We’ve got Haaland, Donnarumma and Rodri (when fit) and sadly it’s not enough when the rest of the squad is too inconsistent and mentally weak.
Poor recruitment has led us to this point.
Too many players who ‘might’ come good and don’t have the heart, desire or fight to win us this league.
 
Arsenal scored through another set-piece. They are the side to beat but they don't create many chances from open play which suggests that if someone can put pressure on them, then they might crack.
 
We need more from our attacking players apart from Haaland.

A month ago, I thought Doku had arrived, and then he goes back into his shell. Then Savinho flickers. We need to find more star quality so that we can fight through difficult games.

They don’t concede goals. We looks ropey as fuck at the back and then pretty feeble in front of goal if Haaland isnt banging one in. We’re miles of Arsenal at the moment.
 
After the total lack of ideas today, sadly I have to say, no we will not win the league.
But we will be in the top 4
 
the winger situation is pain and Foden isn't pulling up trees. Feels unlikely unless the attack around haaland improves.

We have actually been ok at creating open play chances but Palace were defensively superb and it took a belter from Eze to get the goal. That was proper hard work today- Palace will cause most teams a problem and you have to get the 1st goal against them.

They are level above us; they have more control than us. Even if they don't score much, they don't concede many chances.

I agree but the key word is at the moment. City are in flux. Arsenal have been working on their side for a decade.
