I'll guarantee that the only reason we will lose the title this year is due to dropped points.
Fairly obvious reason for anyone not to win the league, since nobodies on for 114 points ;)

haha bastards, I meant we was in winning positions in the games. And lost them.

I know :)

The more serious point I was making is that every season that will happen. There will always be a few dodgy results. Look at the list of teams that have taken points off Liverpool and there are half a dozen results that look bad.

We dont deserve it.
Would love us to win it but we are inconsistent and lack the right mental strength.
The manager is not flexible enough and his tactics are one dimensional.
Every game is different but he is a one trick pony.
Holistic or not, he has underachieved and we are not as good as we think.
If we won it, whilst delighted it would paper over cracks.
Major changes to this squad needed im afraid

If Skrtel's handball had been seen at Anfield, then you'd be reading the exact same words on a Liverpool forum.

Or the fouls on Dzeko and Silva both of which were penalties

Not underachieved at all beginning of the season Chelsea were title favs because of Moureen. 2/3rd place and a trophy isn't a bad 1st season in the prem if we had a decent CB at games like Cardiff where Garcia had to play we'd have been fine. People so quick to blame the manager did he tell Hart and Nastasic to run into each other at Chelsea? Did he tell Kompany to let the ball fly over him at Villa? Did he tell Kompany to miss kick the ball at Liverpool in such a crucial part of the game? Players are to blame as much if not more than Pellers. Anyway my theory is down to injuries we've had way to many key players out for big lengths.

good post.

Me,Myself and Irene firmly believe that the title is going to be ours and that it is Liverpool's to lose. Liverpool and Chelski will draw although Chelski win would set us up nicely.

Nowadays managers tend to talk about their club being in "transition" to play down expectations. Mourinho has done it, Rogers did it last year, even Wenger has done it and, most recently, Moyes. The press and public tend to lap it up. However, we are the only top club who were in real transition this year. We had a manager and coaching staff who were new to the club, to the Premiership and to English football. On top of that we had 5 new players in a similar position. Not once has anybody at the club taken the easy way out and claimed "transition". It is to Pellegrini's credit that he has got us close to winning the Premiership in his first season and, for what it's worth, I actually think we will win it this year and absolutely walk it next year.

Still think we might win it on goal difference
I have us Liverpool and Chelsea all to finish on 84 points
Thats dependant on Chelsea beating the dippers and the dippers drawing at Palace.
Chelsea to win all remaining league games
City to get 10 points-3 wins plus draw at Goodison

You never know.

That would be fantastic if all 3 teams were on 81 points going into the last day, with us winning obviously!

Losing Merlin has been a big blow. Time for nasri to be a hero and play out of his skin.
