Tomorrow we might fall victim of match fixing. Jose Bourinho is thinking about doing his old friend Brenda Rodgers a favour.

Hadn't thought of this. Chelsea won't win it and who would Mourinho rather win it?

Liverpool beat a weakened Chelsea team
Palace beat City

Atletico draw 1-1 at Chelsea with late equaliser

Chelsea win the their last two PL games

Liverpool lose to Palace & Newcastle

City beat Everton, Villa & West Ham

Jose spends the summer wondering what might have been.
Fuck him; we'll spend the summer wondering what might have been.
Errr that set of results would give City the title on goal difference...

I could live with that scenario.

They will park the bus and soak all the pressure. They will be overly cautious. They will play direct football and run down the time. If they escape unscathed, then, yes deserved champions.

Are you really talking about Liverpool here? Doesn't sound like it! They will play direct football, and that's about all you got right. Besides, they might need a win.

yes, in the last game of the season. unless we lose a lot of ground, what makes you think they will risk playing open attacking football that will have more risk of slip ups being seized by newcastle? A miskick by sakho or skrtel. No player will want to come down in history as the sole responsible for the title to be lost. they would definitely be hung out to dry. If it goes down to the wire, they will play for a cautious win but will bite for a draw. They have so far been gung ho with their attack is the best defence approach, and one time too many got the rub of the green with decisions. they will be at home with immense pressure and everyone expects them to win the title in 90 minutes.

If we win all our games including our last, they will only need a draw for their last game. They will try to nick a goal early and increase the margin cautiously. But they will not commit to an open football when they would already be entering the field with the winning point.

I hope newcastle will give a good showing.

We can't rely on Newcastle. I've got that down as 95% of a Liverpool win - at the end of the season the teams that need points normally get them either top or bottom. The QPR game was different as a draw would have definitely kept them up. As long as we at least keep the gap to three points tomorrow, we have a chance. Everton have effectively lost 4th spot today, so we can definitely beat them. Liverpool go to Palace on the Monday and I can see a tight game, and if Liverpool don't score early then the pressure will build... do they attack or defend? Thing is they can't defend. I think it's more likely that Liverpool (or ourselves for that matter) drop points against Palace than Chelsea.

Just hope we are still in with a shout this time tomorrow!

How gutted would we be if Chelsea beat Liverpool then Palace beat us? #nightmare

So you think they'd sit back , invite pressure and increase the chances of a deflection costing them the title? Nah. They'd try and kill the game off early with constant waves of attack like they always do by throwing caution to the wind. If they need a draw or even if the title is already won they will try and put a show for the fans by going at least 2 up then play on the break.

I don't understand why anyone is imagining Liverpool will fold under the pressure. They haven't so far. We didn't when we had our chance in 2012 (OK we, nearly did!) and it's the same for Liverpool. They will be locked on to the fact that they win all their games and they are champions. In fact it's easier for them because they can even afford a draw somewhere, so no need to get desperate if it's 0-0 or 1-1 with 10 minutes to go. And in fact because Liverpool's entire strength is their fanastic attacking power, if they are desperate at 0-0 with 10 to go and they throw the kitchen sink at it, they would probably win the game anyway.

The only real hope imho is that Chelsea do the business and win today. Other than that, we've lost it.
