It is rather ironic that someone is shooting down the UEFA Champions League and here we are hating the very thought of it. Embracing an invitation only league though is worse. Everything is based on domestic rivalry with European football linked to domestic competition and if you mess it up tough, that's football. Take the footballing and sporting element away and the credibility is gone immediately.

I'll be gutted if the corporate elites who run our game kill it off with their own greed. It would be unforgiveable.

No. Totally disagree with the very idea, frankly I give up on football, at least the context of the domestic league it still offers the semblance of the traditional game albeit one that's sf far removed from ordinary working people its unreal, but start all this 'super league' bollocks and that's that, the end. Very easily. The overall establishment have gotten away with a massive scam regarding Covid. It's the New Normal.

Not understanding you there. Lots of authoritarianism maybe with Covid but it's also a genuine pandemic. Just because the establishment says we've discovered a new virus doesn't mean we should say "Oh no you haven't".

This surely must have come from the cartel clubs. Everything was set up perfect for City. We were near the top of the tree. Why would we look to upset an applecart when we're picking apples from the top of the pile?

Sounds like it will collapse like a pack of cards. If I wrre UEFA I'd have exposed their plans ages ago. No one wants to turn their back on football at the weekend.
