Part of the reason we (well, I, at least) hate the champions league is that it is filled with clubs that weren’t champions of their own league and they are obscenely rewarded for their participation.

This takes that exact same issue and multiplies it. Football is now not just a closed shop, certain clubs (including ourselves) are trying to close the vault and fuck everyone else over.
