Have been slowly becoming disillusioned with football other the last couple years with var, uefa, cartels etc. But I didn’t ever think it would be my own club that would make me so sad and angry that I have serious doubts weather I’ll ever watch a game again.

I still don’t get how this will have a negative effect on fans? Instead of champions league you have this? This game has gone for money long time ago and it’s sad that you just now realized that.

Well for the fans of the greedy six it will have a negative effect for watching premier league games as it doesn’t matter what happens in the premier league now as long as you finish above 17th.

For the fans of Leicester, West Ham, Everton, Leeds etc it has a negative effect as no matter what they do they won’t be allowed to compete against the best.

It’s up! No quotes from us, just the Glazers!
Just read it.
So it basically says we want to..
the question is now do/will we still press ahead knowing that the premier league won’t happen, cups won’t happen, internationals won’t happen for the players of the SL?
Will we still press ahead knowing that a large percentage of our fan base don’t want this and will not continue with their support for this club if this was to happen?
I’ve no problem if we genuinely believed that this could simply be a replacement for the champions league, but as we now know that cannot happen, will not happen.
So what we do next is the most important thing.
Time will tell.

Depends what club your a fan of.
Of course it has an effect on fans
I am a city fan. Maybe it because I am over the pond and never had the chance yet to watch a game life but I watch ever game. Watch everything our site posts up. I guess I don’t understand as much as people where the club is within their cities

Having just finished Caught Beneath the Landslide by Tim Rich, this all feels a bit surreal tonight.

I have to say I'm gutted, heartbroken even. My grandfather spent his whole life going to games, working his bollocks off during the week and using the game at the weekend as motivation to get through it all. This spits in the face of everyone who's ever given anything to this club, emotionally or financially.

Manchester City is a way of life. It isn't just a "franchise" or whatever bollocks of an American term we're now putting on it. I am truly saddened tonight and can only hope my grandfather is otherwise engaged wherever he is in the sky tonight. He'd be truly fucking distraught at this.

Shame on you City.

Plastic club, has been for many years unfortunately, blues.

Don't know what to make of it really, time will tell. One thing's for sure, top level football can survive and thrive without fans. The elite and our owners do not care on iota about the fans.

Save the "I'm ripping my season ticket up" lines, they literally mean fuck all to the club. The bubble was always going to burst, this is just the start.

It wouldn't surprise me if they told season ticket holders that even if you don't attend the matches the cost of the tickets will still be deducted from your accounts so they won't care if no one turns up or it becomes the Emptyhad just as long as fans 6000 miles away are paying their subscriptions to watch.
It will also be interesting to see if the likes of Sky/BT/Amazon submit bids when the rights to games are put up for bidding. I suspect they will because as sure as eggs are eggs the major broadcasters will have been sounded out about this.
So all that indignation on Sky earlier was a load of bollocks because if any of them are offered to a chance to be pundits they won't turn it down.
