If it's simply a case of quitting the Chumps league and joining a new European competition then I'm all for it. But, if it means getting kicked out of English league then obviously not.
a European competition that’s a complete closed shop. Where teams like ac Milan are included, despite not being a top team for years and teams like Leicester not being able to be a part of it.

the top teams involved taking all/most of the money. So Liverpool, United and city getting all the profit indefinitely. Why would you be alright with it?

But they want to make it a closed shop so all these teams like West Ham will never make it which is disgraceful. If they do it it needs to be on a relegation basis
It won't happen. There will be a deal brokered. The new champion league from 2024 is almost as bad so it's brinkmanship in my view.

It's an absurd idea. How did they even think they could get away with it? I always thought this was an empty threat. These people live in ivory towers.
Very easily. The overall establishment have gotten away with a massive scam regarding Covid. It's the New Normal.

Wish we had the balls to have stood up and said no instead of jumping into bed with the slimy clubs involved. No German teams though, so unless they get another 8 teams this is dead in the water....thank fuck.

Sounds like the big vlubs flexing muscles to get automatic entry into the expanded Champions League, which makes an already tainted comp even more tainted.

I await my increased Seasoncard renewal seeing that we, as fans, mean fuck all to the Club, but Tourists mean everything.
German clubs are 51% owned by fans...allegedly so I doubt they would even think about asking them.

Yup a deal based on the old guard getting access no matter where they finish in the league asked on historical performance over a 40 year period

In what way would it be harmful?

The intention is simply to play in a European League rather than the Champions League.
It will overtake the Premier league and hurt our league. There will be season tickets for both leagues and numerous players on 1m a week wages only playing in the super league.

Doesn’t sit right at all with me this idea. I think I’d be taking a step back from football put it that way.

I'm not a huge fan of the Champions League. But, not keen and a closed shop either. There's no VAR in the breakaway league though :-)
