Sporting will only sell William Carvalho to interested English clubs for €30m (£24.8m). [A Bola]
For what it's worth http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/william-carvalho/profil/spieler_100131.html values him at £7 million. Since we're dealing with Sporting you'd probably need at least double that?

Depends what he is able to do at the World Cup - if he makes the squad and puts in some good performances I would expect it soon will go up and up and up. Can't see him being bought for less than £15m. £20m is more likely.

He is no different to Javi Garcia.

Nemanja Matic, William Carvalho, Javi Garcia, these are all the same players.

Don't know why but I read that in the voice of Mancini.

Anyway, what the fuck?

It's now looking a lot like Sporting are going to qualify for the CL proper next season, so Carvalho would cost an unrealistic amount to get now. Porto players prices may well be going down though, as they face a very precarious financial situation if they end up coming 3rd in the league and have to face a potentially tough qualifier for the CL. (all this is depending on who comes 2nd or 3rd in the Portuguese league, but Porto have just dropped even further back). Could be a very interesting off season transfer window, depending on how the league finishes, it's not even out of the question that Porto could actually fall into 4th place if their current form continues, which would be incredible for a team that won the title unbeaten last year.

Whats the point of signing him if we already agreed a deal with Fernando according to the media ?

If its Di Marzio then it's legit, never seen tea anything that he has got wrong!

This lad plays so much like Yaya from the videos I have seen of him.

Hopefully if he is to be one of the next big things, then we will get him and not lose out like the recent young talent.

He is definitely the real deal. Since Pogba is too expensive, he could be a long-term solution when Yaya and (later) Fernandinho get too old. But you're looking at £30m+ and Sporting won't budge because a lot of teams want him, including United (who will spend stupid amounts out of desperation this summer).

BTW, it's about time we started signing some players of this profile instead of 28-year-olds. Our squad is built for now, not in 5 years and that has to change (the academy may or may not produce, it's impossible to know till these kids play senior football).
