Willy has to play in the Final

Wasn't Joe in goal for the 4-1 defeat by Liverpool. I might be wrong?

So who did play in goals in the 4-1? If I've got it wrong I will give my apologies!

It was indeed Mr Hart. Whilst Joe is probably better than Willy, the same applies throughout the team. There's not a huge difference between the 'first' choice and the next best. If we lose on Sunday, it's unlikely to be down to just Willy Cabellero.

And if I remember - Hart saved 4 one-on-ones and made 2 or 3 other good saves to keep the score down to a thrashing.

Majorly disappointed - it's like giving the opposition a half goal start. A full goal if Co-Co plays like he did against Chelsea.

Usual culprits moaning like Karen etc. We know he's the cup keeper so he's gonna play what's so hard to understand?
I can understand perfectly thanks but i am also able to say willy is a crap keeper,he has long enough to prove he is up to it and he's not
Don't follow me if you don't like what i say, simples

im absolutley 100% positive that the 1-4 loss v liverpool was a one off.
We gifted them their first 2 goals and their tails were up and went for the jugular in the first half. Good on them.

vinnie is back and hopefully MD and AK will not feature. so i think we will see a totally different game.

going to be a close final im sure.

I think willy will feel a lot more confident with Komps and Otamendi in front of him protecting him.

I think its plainly obvious that MP is prioritizing the CL above anything else.

After several decades in football management Manuel has failed to grasp the principle that playing your best team improves your chance of winning a game.
It would have been a great surprise if he had changed his spots for this match.

It wasn't a one off. We've been battered like that numerous of times this season. If we turn up at Wembley on Sunday with the same frame of mind, we will get spanked. Liverpool are not a great team, but they do work hard, something we often don't do.

It was never a game where a team could score 8. Liverpool took their chances well and we were off the pace. We had a good amount of the play in the second half.

Liverpool fans I've spoken to have no idea how bad Willy actually is. Don't think it will be lost on Klopp, they will just shoot at every opportunity and our "goalkeeper" is bound to fk up a few times. The irritating thing is we all knew Manuel would play him no matter how bad previous performances have been.

Yet Hart had to make 4 one-on-one saves and make 3 good saves to keep the score down to merely a trashing.

Of most concern tomorrow are Peller's go-to tactics:
1. Ultra High - defensive line against the Gagenpress with our players.
2. YaYa in a defensive two.

Co-Co in nets is a mere bagatelle to the above.

Cabellero showed how shite he was at Spurs. If he gets picked tomorrow it further highlights Pellegrini's major failings as a manager. Will he change his mind, will he fuck, it doesn't matter what the fans think, or anybody else for that matter. Roll on the summer.

Cup Keeper! What a laugh. Another made up phrase people actually believe is fact. No such thing, strongest team in a final, end of.
Whatever happened to playing your cards close to your chest and keeping team selection private until announced before kick off.
Lots on here believe WC should be first name down and we publically announce he is playing. Therefore, Klopps team preparation includes instruction to shoot from anywhere and win as many free kicks around the box as WC does not save anything.

Your points 1 and 2 are spot on!

The high line has been even more exposed with Demichellis in the back four, partially with Kolarov as well. They're not the fastest and as Vardy and Deulofeu showed a high line with those two is suicidal. However, with Vinnie and Otamendi I'd feel more confident as they both have decent enough pace. Think Vinnie showed that in the first minutes on Wednesday when he kept up with Yarmolenko before slide tackling him. I'd still rather play a deeper line, with a less static edge of the offside routine mind. For this reason Clichy has to play.

In regards to the Yaya conundrum I think it's quite simple. Exactly how we lined up with him at Seville. In a two with Fernandinho with Fernando anchoring behind. Or even what we set up with at Kiev, although it'd be imperative that Silva dropped a lot with would lose some of his attacking impetus.

Good post. Liverpool are likely to come out of the traps fast so I would prefer to see us start off a bit deeper and absorb more of their play!
