Willy has to play in the Final

willy dropped a couple of changers on Sunday but helped to get us to Wembley. The setting up of the wall and moving before the free kick was taken was the worst example. There may be a problem with our goal keeping coaching because Joe (whose been very good this season) made poor mistakes versus Leicester in failing to have a man on the post at corners.

That said, If Willy is dropped then it will show we are lacking in class and no better than the rags!

Were we lacking class when we dropped Joe because he was shit?

Willy has helped us get to the final and deserves his starting place.

Joe was brought in for the FA Cup Final against Wigan and it was an unmitigated disaster. Not really Joe's fault but it was very damaging to Club morale to dump Pants!
God help us if he plays

There's no chance Hart is playing. Like it or not, Willy is the cup keeper and the final is a cup game therefore he plays. And whilst i don't particularly rate him and don't agree with the policy it's something he's always done here and if we've learnt anything about Arsene Pellegrini over the last 3 season's it's that he won't change. Worth noting Willy did also help get us to Wembley with a great performance at Goodison park in the first leg of the semi final.

How is dropping a player after they had probably their worst game in a City shit lacking in class? This is why I can't wait to be rid of Pellegrini cos I know for a fact if Joe had played that badly in one of our CL games he'd have Willy in net for the next one. He has his favourites and he will play them even if it costs us the best chance we have for a trophy this year. Fucking counting down the days till he goes.

It's a different situation Tim. I think most of us at Wembley in 2013 were shocked and disappointed when Joe appeared in the starting XI after Costel had played every round and been superb in the semi against Chelsea. Although there was a small improvement in quality in picking Joe it was outweighed as you say by the drop in morale in both fans and players. It just didn't feel right.

This time nobody trusts Willy, fans or players. I'm guessing even Pellegrini doesn't trust him but will probably pick him anyway (for the sake of the 35,000 travelling fans he absolutely shouldn't). He did play well against Everton but Sunday was one of the worst goalkeeping displays I've ever witnessed from a City keeper and we've had a few dummies over the years. If he isn't dropped and he costs us the game I fear things could turn very ugly for "The Charming Man" in his final few weeks in Manchester. This match psychologically could make or break our season. We must give it our best shot. Willy doesn't deserve a starting place just because he is "the cup goalkeeper". That's just ridiculous.

A final losing calamity is inevitable, if Wonka plays. We might as well give them a two goal start. Anyone suggesting that a goal-keeping clown's feelings should take precedence over us potentially winning a trophy needs a good slap.

Describing Hart being a "small improvement in quality" over Pantilimon is akin to describing Aguero as "a small improvement in quality" over Gerry Creaney.

Speak for yourself when you say that "morale" dropped when Hart was picked for that game. Not where I was it didn't. It increased if anything. And you've no idea what the dressing room thought about it so please don't claim you do.

Apart from that, good post!

I'd rather bring Margaret Margetson out of retirement than have Willy Flapper in goals - where's Budgie when you need him as well..

It's a cup final not a friendly in the local boys brigade league. We need our very strongest team. If Manuel plays him, that's he and I finished. For ever.

And Hart is our PL keeper but was dropped when not playing well. Same should happen to Caballero.

Looks like Caballero starts on Sunday ...
"I feel the confidence of the boss to bring me into this game. I try to enjoy it, and try to improve every week. I have to be ready for this date, which will be fantastic for us.
I think it will be a great final. We must be ready for everything, even for penalties. Beating Liverpool will be fantastic but it won't be easy, so we must play well, defend well and be solid.
The most important thing is to win, it doesn't matter how."

Was watching one of the inside city videos and there was clips of him taking photos in his cup final strip.

He's definitely playing.

If he does play, I hope there are no boos for him on Sunday. He was playing behind MDM and Kolarov on Sunday. Everyone reckons we are much better defensively when VK plays so hopefully he won't be flapping about. Anyway, main point is, if he's playing for City on Sunday, we get behind him.

Willie, is not a good keeper, if he plays we have no chance in the final, he can stop the odd shot granted but his positional play, which is key for a top class keeper, is woeful..!
We have to play our best team and unfortunately for Willie, that does not Include him in the starting line up..!

Disgrace if he plays after Sunday. Dippers I'm work are praying he plays - that says something. Our clubs been fucked under Manuel. Totally undone the hard work of Roberto.
