Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Tennis must be a decent gig

Broady has never won a tournament, more losses and wins, never got past round 3 in a grandslam and still made $1.5m in prize money
It sounds a good gig - but over 14 years ish it's just over a 100k a year - he's then got to pay his coach, physio, travel expenses, living expenses etc... and put (hopefully) some aside for the many years not playing.
But yep - not bad considering the win to loss ratio.

That 1.5m is gross earnings though and out of that comes travel and accommodation, trainer, physio, nutritionist, sport scientist etc etc.

I know a very decent standard Swedish player with good earnings on paper but their career is fully funded by their wealthy parents.
It's not cheap
