Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

Little interest without Federer or Nadal and to a lesser extent Murray.

Wimbledon tennis starts tomorrow 3rd July. I thought I’d look at my Radio Times (other listings magazines are available) to see who is replacing Sue Barker.
Clare Balding ok fair enough she’s not unfamiliar with tennis and has covered Wimbledon for a few years alongside Sue. However I then see that ‘the faces of Wimbledon’ this year with Clare are Isa Guha and Qasa Alom. Fair enough I thought they must be ex-tennis players or have commentated but then I looked them up!
Isa is an ex-cricketer who has played for the England women’s team. No mention in the two bios I looked at of her ever playing tennis.
Qasa is a ‘YouTube filmmaker with a passion for climate change and sustainability’. Again no mention of tennis!
Now I’m sure they are both very good at their jobs but I’m also sure that there are tennis people who are very knowledgeable about tennis who are available!

Is it me or has the world gone mad? :-)
It's mad and getting madder

Meritocracy is dead.

Oh god not two weeeks of this shite

It isn't a nation sport no need for blanket coverage, just when british players play and the finals

Meanwhile you have to subscribe to see the Ashes
Tennis is a tad more interesting in fairness. Not sure whose idea it was to invent a game that lasted 5 five days including a break for lunch.

Like any big sporting event covered by the BBC you spent the whole event switching from channel to channel, coverage continues on BBC1, coverage continues on BBC 2… back and forth it goes…. Good job I have Mrs NMC who’s handy with the remote control… otherwise I’d have to move.

It means escape to the country disappears in the afternoon. What will I do now?

Good job I have Silverstone from Thursday. And a dog to walk before then. Very long walks. With a pub half way round. That serves alcohol free Guinness.

Can you amend your typo please it reads like Guinness without any alcoholic content.
