Gotta laugh at the BBC, they remove the flag from players representing Russia or no mention of the "Kazakh" lass really being Russian and still living there.

Wonder if they removed flags from British players during our illegal invasion of the middle east...

But it’s not the BBC who have removed the flag. It is the tennis authorities. It is the same at all the tournaments at present. The Russian players are playing under a neutral flag. Wimbledon were taken from the tour last year in terms of the points the players received. They didn’t receive any for playing Wimbledon. In fact Russian and Belarusian players were banned if I remember rightly which is why no points.
This year they have had to sign a neutrality document and attest that they will not express support for the invasion.
So not the BBC.

Anybody see the endi of the Davidovic Fokina V Rune match?

In the fifth set tiebreak with the score at 8-8, Davidovic Fokina decides to do an underarm serve. Rune smashes it back for a winner and then wins the next point for the match. Bizarre.

Like he’s trying to find a weirder way to get knocked out each year. Last year he was called for a penalty point at match point down for smashing the ball away.

Rune’s looking a dangerous player though. Already beaten Djokovic twice in three matches in his short career.

We are very good at producing bang average tennis players who don’t really care if they win or lose.
