Wimbledon 2023 | Alcaraz beats Djokovic in the final

As I couldn't see you posting at the exact same time, I wouldn't have known about it.

Hence the reason I liked your post changing it.

Easier to have just laughed it off though tbh
My choice of adjective could have been better. Underdog would imply a local club player, which Alcaraz certainly isn't.

Good point. But has Alcaraz ever produced to this level on grass? Djokovic is a monster on this surface, and I would have thought that most of the money would have been on him to prevail.

With hindsight, "outsider" might have been a better word than underdog.
He was second favourite before the tournament began.

Christopher Eubanks would be an example of an outsider winning. But alas, he didn’t make it past the quarters.

Yep. Absolutely phenomenal tennis player. Best ever? Hmm; I'm not sure. There's been some good 'uns down the years. But I just can't warm to him as a person. He gives the impression (rightly or wrongly) of being an arrogant so and so. Having never met him (and highly unlikely ever to do so), I could be way off with that judgement. It's just a feeling I get from watching him.

He’s the greatest ever whether you like him personally or not .

Great final this

Alcaraz is the only person on the planet who could possibly beat Djokovic- and he’s 20. Insane
