Wimbledon

Federer at 34 years age almost to still have this hunger after everything he's won is extraordinary. If you could bottle that and give it to every young English footballer that would be priceless, what a champion and player.

I think it's time The Fed Express is recognised as the greatest of all time in terms of tennis. Love watching him play, the greatest compliment I can pay him is he is the Messi of the Tennis World, just picks up a racket and plays, natural ability. He trains hard and has a good athletic body, but it isn't freakish.

Nadal is like C.Ronaldo, someone who relies on his physical ability so declines quicker than someone like Federer.

Federer winning Wimbledon and retiring would be a special moment, there is no hotter time to turn and retire when you are top. That is how people will remember you.

Federer is playing for history, Novak is just another pretender - will never be in Federer's class imo.

Federer is also a top lad too and very humble. Wonderful ambassador for such a gentleman sport, the perfect person at the right time.

Would love federer to win it,but he's probably played his final against Murray and peaked,Novak will most likely win 3.1 hope I'm wrong and federer wins as along with Borg the two greatest grass court players ever...

What I don't understand is this:

Federer at 33 is at the very top of a sport that, since serve & volley stopped in the 90s, I would say is the hardest sport going in terms of endurance.

In football 33 year olds are considered past it, over the hill.

I love the juxtaposition of the absolute supreme sporting talent that is on the court and the between-point off-court celebrity twat-watch that the BBC seems to think we want to have on our screens.
