Winter sun holiday advice.

have a look at Costa Rica - the main season is November to April, start of the dry season to the end of it, and the start/end will be quieter than Dec/Jan/Feb for sure. Awesome weather, awesome scenery and food is better than Cuba. November (i guess) will still be a bit wet but as with those countries it's downpour stuff. Temperature anything around high 20s and early 30s?

we're going again in July, which is a mini 'dry' season in the wet season to experience that. Will probably take in South Nicaragua as well for a few days but Costa Rica is beautiful.

Cheers mate. Will have a look at Costa Rica.

Me and my missus are looking to go away this November for 14 nights. We've been looking at Cuba and particularly a 3 night in Havana then off to Varadero trip. Got a quote etc but we've read that the food in Cuba can be a bit sketchy.

To be honest it's made us consider other options as the holiday isn't cheap and decent food is a must.

So, other options we've briefly chatted about include Thailand and Miami.

So I'm after the thoughts of any bluemooners that have been to any of the 3 destinations, if you've been to all 3 then you could be of huge help.

We're not after 2 weeks just on a gorgeous beach, although the bulk of the holiday will be just that. We also want a City or town nearby that we can visit whilst there.

Cuba looked right up our street but we're reluctant to part with the time and money if we're likely to be disappointed with the food.

Would we find a similar situation in Thailand? Is Miami not relaxing enough for a two week visit?

Any help appreciated.
Cuba's ok if you want all inclusive with fuck all else to see outside your hotel.
Thailand would be my choice from the ones you mention.
Worth considering other options like Hurghada, Egypt or The Gambia. Shorter flights, no jet lag and guaranteed sunshine.

Costa Rica 20/25 years ago was the best place on earth, now its well over priced, the people are as greedy as fuck and will gringo you at every opportunity> We got married there in Jaco when it was a quiet beach town. It still is one of the most beautiful places to visit though. We would never go there again

right, well i'm really looking forward to it but thanks all the same! pretty used to all the attention and hustling etc, im not expecting anything too different in that respect.

Did Havana and the beach thing and it ok, Thailand is super, wild love to go back, been impressed with Barbados whilst we have been here but it is pricy for eating out at times unless you are doing beach shack, wouldn't stop me coming back would just have to save up some more.
