Not bad, not bad at all. Given that we we were without arguably our best goalkeeper, our best central defender, our best central midfielder, and our best attacking midfielder then yes, not bad at all.
Put down the sherry and go to bedBobb is going to be most intriguing. He has not really ever had a run and has certainly never been a starter for a period. He looked a bit off the pace for me today but I am looking forward to seeing what he does this season.

Haaland will get more service this season simply because we now have more supply lines and are not reliant on one player - the god of a player that Kev is. Hell of a lot of competition for places now.

Ake , Akanji and Gundogan not getting game time . It's not nothing .
The squad depth is ….er…massive!When you consider some of the names that weren't involved in the squad today (Foden, Rodri, Gvardiol, Kovacic, Ederson)*, maybe the future isn't as gloomy as the "glass half empty" mob would have you believe.
*Didn't include those on the bench, only those not there at all.
I suppose you should know doc4 hours and it risks falling off.

Reijnders is a diamond, carries the ball like yaya, passes like Gundo n finishes like Sergio. Cherki reminds me of Mario, complete maverick, unpredictable n skills to die for.....think we're gonna love him

Gonna focus on the negatives as positives all to obvious. Some of this below was to be expected considering lack of game time during pre season for some and just bedding in etc.
Thought we had something of a disconnect in midfield. Nico G took ages to get going and Bernardo was running his legs off but not getting ball forward to a very mobile Reijnders.
Doku was poor. Really wanted to see him attack.seemed to try go around players rather than at them. Bobb fared far better on other flank. If this is to be Doku’s season then he needs better than that.
Back 4 wasn’t perfect again that will come.
Hard to judge marmoush at multiple subs happened but he seemed behind the pace compared to rest.
Those are the negatives. Nothing to stress about I think.
Kudos to new lads and having Stones back if fit will be bigger than Rodri. Criminally underrated.

It was the ability to get around a 10 man defence without 200 sideways passes that was the difference. Great to watch. Much harder games to come but with this team I can’t see us not challenging for the title.
Two goals came from counter attacks. It's everything we were hoping for.
