For me, both Nico and Nouri started off poorly, positionally, but were good in the 2nd half.

Agree with all that but I thought Nico played really well.
 
Brilliant start! The defence weathered Wolves' 'onslaught' well and we looked dangerous on the attack

There was a break at the end involving Ait Nouri, Cherki, Reijnders and Marmoush that made me feel like I was looking into the future

Boy oh boy Cherki makes the game look effortless - some of his first touch passes were sublime. I had no idea how we were ever going to replace Kev and his first time passing but with Cherki and Tijjani I think we can see we may have the answer- only one game sure, but man I have very high hopes for the two new midfielders.

And to think there were plenty on here who thought Oscar would be better off having a loan???
 
Not bad if you like a decent perfomance and four goals and shit like that.

We're still giving away a worrying amount of chances and half chances though. A good team could have put at least three past us today with the chances Wolves had.

Still ... COYB. Great start. Some amazing debuts there. Reijnders looked the dogs danglies. Trafford excellent too.
 
Trafford, Stones, Lewis, Nico, Bobb, Reijnders all absolutely incredible.

Bernardo leadership cannot be understated too, first half when we were under the cosh a little he started to pop up all over the pitch before the goals.

Donnaruma obviously very good, but I've seen enough of Trafford to get carried away with. Will also be a little disappointed to see Rico go too, he's a very intelligent footballer.

Great start - plenty there to get excited about, going forward. Bobb and Reijnders giving Erling reason to believe that they'll find him, giving him an extra spring in his step.

No doubt, tougher tests ahead defensively-speaking, but what a treat to be excited watching City on the attack again!

Some proper ball-players there...
