Only negatives were the ease which Wolves got down our right side and managed to get crosses in without anyone being close enough to close ball down, and the 2 situations when Nunes was asked to defend( or play sensibly in our half), and he was dispossessed. Great performance and looking forward to more superb wins this season, but worrying about defending wide areas, even at this early stage.

Bernardo leadership cannot be understated too, first half when we were under the cosh a little he started to pop up all over the pitch before the goals.

Donnaruma obviously very good, but I've seen enough of Trafford to get carried away with. Will also be a little disappointed to see Rico go too, he's a very intelligent footballer.

I love bernardo....he's a spinning top all over the pitch.
 
The first 30 minutes were a bit wank, thought we looked flustered at the back but after that it was a very good performance and one way traffic.
 
What's not to like about that performance?

It is so refreshing to see energy and legs back in our midfield.

We look lethal up front too.

Great opening to our season.

I can relax now and enjoy watching the rags or the tarquins drop points.

Yeah my initial reticence about bringing him back has been tempered by today - seems to have improved with his feet alot.
His overall goalkeeping has always been sound - and I liked the fact that when he made saves they went sideways rather than straight back in front of him.

Doku didn’t pull up any trees but suggesting he needs to manage to be able to make a 5 yard pass when his pass completion was 94.7%, only bettered by Bernardo of the starters, perhaps your attention to detail is worse than his passing.
 
At times, we looked a bit shaky, and there are still plenty of things we need to work on if we don’t want to get exposed against stronger sides. But overall, it was a solid performance. It feels like we’ve got a strong foundation to build something special
