And Bobb! Bobb was really most impressive. Beautiful skills and a lovely weighted pass to Rejinders. This match was a testament to how depleted we were last season. Stones fit is huge, but we didn’t even see Gundo, Akanji or Ake. Foden and Rodders still out. And no Kovacic. Still, we had plenty of players and lots of energy. Air Nouri is a breath of fresh air. Had an excellent match.
Did they have Eddie in goal? (Gets hat)
But it was Wolves and we caught them unawares. Spurs will be much more difficult. But it was good. We are going to score a lot of goals this season. The connection between oscar bobb and Reijnders is amazing.
Hope for the best in this season.
One of the key issues for me. Tempo makes all the difference. Keep it up boys.Pep’s comments about transitioning ‘quicker than before’ are music to my ears.
He needs a Giggs type ‘injury’.Any chance that he could retire internationally? Surely he knows that he is pushing his luck.
That’s what He’s paid handsomely for. I really don’t care if he feels uncomfortable leaving people out, that’s his job. Man management. He’s pretty good at it, too.. Pep has a right job on his hands with this squad as it stands
He played for manchunite. Nuff said. Can't understand why Rooney gets a gig as a pundit. It's like listening to the Michelin Man right after he's had a lobotomy and some tight bastard has stuck a Brillo Pad on his head to cheer him up.
Fair play to them but they are still the weirdest set of fans after StokeRespect to those Wolves fans still in there singing Jotas song after getting dicked 4 nil top support tbf
It’s one of the worst grounds in the Prem for away fans as full length of pitch and really narrow, it’s wank as can’t get any songs going right across the fans.City fans so quiet today until we took the lead, it sounded that way on sky anyway
City totally dominated the game. Wolves scored a clearly offside goal. Not bad if you like a decent perfomance and four goals and shit like that.
We're still giving away a worrying amount of chances and half chances though. A good team could have put at least three past us today with the chances Wolves had.
Still ... COYB. Great start. Some amazing debuts there. Reijnders looked the dogs danglies. Trafford excellent too.
Ait Nouri was obviously under instruction to stay back yesterday, it was right in front of us in the first half and very obvious. Consequently Doku would usually have 3 men in front of him when he had the ball, he’s good but not a magician, lol. On the other side Bobb was fine as Rico was coming inside and outside and they underestimated Bobb which worked out nicely for us.Biggest problem for Doku is nobody gets in position for him, they expect him to beat 4 defenders then give them a three yard pass for a tap in. He always ties up at least two defenders, often three or more but we don't use that to our advantage then he gets the blame when nothing comes if the move because he had nobody to pass to. I feel for him at times.
Can't say I really noticed the ref, that's usually a good sign.Did Pep mention anything about the ref and how poor he was? Worried that was just the start of what will come
