KDB rodri foden
sterling jesus mahrez

wish bernardo was fit, he would be on the team sheet.
Find the furthest point in the country away from Birmingham and put mendy on it, if he gets lonely send gundogen ! If mendy is on the pitch Monday night its 3 or 4 - 1 to wolves
I am struggling seeing a city win but hope I am wrong, wolves are the sort of team we don't play well against with their style. Let alone how quick their front lot go forward. If it was mid season and we had a good run then I would fancy a win. But start of the season, hardly trained, no LaPorte / aguero, its not good.
If we do win it will be one of those days when you say "so proud"

I think Ake will start but that he'll start as left CB or perhaps a remote chance as left FB, certainly not right CB.
I know he can play there but he's new to the team and setting in so I think Pep'll want him playing in his sweet spot.
IMO the one solitary change from your predicted line up (apart from Ake being at LCB not RCB) is that Fernandinho will be on the bench and Garcia or maybe Stones will be right CB.

If I am honest, this is likely the least excited I have been for an opening match of any season in my life.

That’s not just down to last season’s disappointments or our preseason struggles or our delayed start.

The pandemic and other situations just have severely dampened my interest in football generally.

Hoping this match helps change that, though.

Im looking forward to us starting our campaign, but also think Covid is never far from my mind

Sorry not feeling it.

Pep with a face like a slapped arse.

Kun out for at least another 2 months.

Not strengthening up front which we needed desperately.

Not strengthening at the back, again we needed this desperately.

Feels like we are going in to a season already resigned to it being Pep last season.

I think all last seasons problems will undermine this season, not converting enough chance, and defensive issues.

I think Ake will make a serious difference though.
A sort of Carry on Treading Water Sid.

Sadly I think you've nailed it. I've watch 10 mins of English football this season & saw Dean fucking about with VAR.

I've got access to every game and more but apart from our games I can't see me watching much it's not footie if we're not allowed to the games & even when we are I can't see me going with this Covid shit.

Yeah. It’s a special worry for me, so I may be just more affected than most. Once we start playing it may help distract me from those fears.

I hope that is the case, anyway, as football has been a big part of my life since I was very little and no longer being able to play, coupled with the stunted version available to watch now, has really affected me.

I don''t mind the 3rd kit, certainly better than last season version. Home and away very good.

Ederson, Walker, Fernandinho, Aké, Mendy, Rodrigo, Foden, De Bruyne, Sterling, Torres, Jesus

2-3

Wearing that monstrosity of a third kit, we have already set ourselves up for a fall of we lose.

Very worried about our lack of preparation and available personnel.

Wolves didn't have a pre season either and are fortunate they didn't have their games postponed and aren't in Europe
