Just don't see Pep starting Nico G. Midfield will be Gundogan, Bernardo and Reijnders imo. I wouldn't pick that midfield but think Pep will.
 
An away Premier League match is always a threat; nonetheless, the truth is that we should and must collect 3 points. Wolves are trying to be clever in the market and, as usual, have made a few transfers with potential, but overall they’ve lost a lot of quality with Cunha, Aït-Nouri, Guedes — and they’ll probably lose Fábio Silva as well. Pre-season matches were poor. Our own rebuild or not, 3 points are a must.

No issue if Gundo starts personally and we know Pep is a big fan. As for Savinho, depends how much of the talk around that is pure media speculation. I heard Eze was mentioned with Spurs today.

Yes I do actually have a similar feeling regarding Nico and the midfield you’ve suggested. Just don’t think it gives us enough legs in there with both Gundo and Bernardo. If Nico is going to start at any time this season it’s when Rodri and Kova are out.

Plus it doesn’t have to set the tone for the season. Foden is currently injured, as soon as he’s fit he could slot straight in in Gundo’s place and the tone of the season changes.

I think Ilkay looked much more comfortable, after Gonzalez joined.

His form gradually improved, as you said, and he became more like the pre-Brokelona Gündog.

I think he was suffering from too much football and too little rest, just like most of the squad.
