I like kovacic and think he was good first half but his attempt at getting back for the Newcastle goal was abysmal

It was his first game back from injury and tbf he did look knackered in the second half particularly, I wouldn’t judge him on Wednesday’s game. No player coming back from injury is going to be at the top of their game - there’s no substitute for match fitness.

All our big guns back for this, probably a bit too early for Stones and Bernardo, maybe save them for Leipzig. Can see Alvarez on the bench and Pep going with Doku, Haaland and Foden as a front three.

Can't see them beating us. They will probably press us aggressively, but that plays into our hands with the quality we have. Bookies have us odds on favourites.
