I can’t help but think another twist is due in the title race. We can be bullish about the loss of our CBs but having watched us look shaky against Newcastle I can’t help feeling we will concede stupid goals whether Fern or Rodri play. Walker not available is a the worst out of the 3. Not much we can do now but hope the attackers keep scoring.
John is always injured , nathan twisted his ankle during a game , ky was a shit tackle and kick and ruby was a hamstring , he came back too soon i think , nothing suspicious going onTo have 3 key defenders & the other with a dodgy ankle out & have been on & off all season something is not right with our training
What's the situation regarding Ake?John is always injured , nathan twisted his ankle during a game , ky was a shit tackle and kick and ruby was a hamstring , he came back too soon i think , nothing suspicious going on
Which game were you watching? I was at the game and at no point did I think we looked shaky against Newcastle, we controlled the game, they were always going to get a few chances, but I felt comfortable throughout the whole gameI can’t help but think another twist is due in the title race. I thought there was a chance of him returning for the Spam game.
I'm getting a severe case of brown trousers now?
Fair enough and you are entitled to that view. Imo we looked a little uncomfortable before the second goal was scored. Newcastle had a few efforts, most notably the 1 ruled offside.Which game were you watching? Or Rodri and Bernardo dropping deep alongside him, which he's done a few times recently. That alternative sounds much riskier, Rodri and Fernandinho together you mean? I'd fear the worst if Pep starts changing formation to fix the problem
Phew!Pep says not wed but maybe after
There is a plus. Fern will not be required to cover as much ground at CB. His range of passing and tactical and positional nous are as good as we have. I have no doubts about him starting and partnering Laporte. Our back 4 will do fine. It's tough, but I'd rather play this line than rush Aké back in. If he's not 100% and we fuck up his injury it'll leave us with only Laporte fit for the remainder of the season.
If Aka is fit Laporte can play on the right hand side, as he doess for Spain.3 games i wudnt worry to much,
Rodri ,fern, ake can play cb
Or even mbete at a push
