I love to see us grind out a win like that. Not pretty in the slightest, but we worked hard and it paid off. They can't all be pretty.

To put this performance in to context, we were up against the in form side in the league who were trying to equal their longest winning run set back in the 1940s.

We managed to silence one of the best centre forwards in the league and win it, despite what I think were a few very questionable non-calls from the referee and VAR, especially toward the end.

I am just happy with the three points and (hopefully) no injuries after the Wolves players realised they could leave a boot in with practical impunity.

Well situated to finish comfortably top five now and look to equal Liverpool’s trophy haul this season.

Big win, great goal, good performance against a decent side. After the goal we were comfortable and controlled the game.

I think the ref got a few things wrong and thought it was a red card as it was a horrible challenge.

We aren’t the same team but it doesn’t look like we were at full throttle there. Was reasonably comfortable. Kevin making more impact than Gundo, Bernie all over the show!

The win was all that mattered, which was a good job because that was fucking horrible to watch.

Gvardiol great. Doku a menace in the first half. Bernardo with some good work. The fact we're winning whilst playing with Gundogan is a credit to everybody else. The ref was hideous and they really should have been down to ten (like we were all game).

Just one game too far for Kovacic, Gundogan, and O'Reilly, I thought. Grealish, Akanji, and Gonzalez in for Southampton please.

Still, the lads ran their bollocks off again and the crowd sang them home for the three points. Nice for Kev to get the winner as well.

Great result that tonight!! How on gods earth though did VAR not look at that horrendous tackle on silva and not tell the referee to go to the screen and send him off. One of the worst VAR decisions I’ve seen that!! The ball had long gone and he then changes the angle of his foot so the Stoods are showing and scrapes down Silva’s leg! Could have broken his leg easily.
