Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

just watched it cause of delayed flight. We been good enough this game, mostly first half.

Wolves are strong team at the moment. Have few players who are really good on the ball.

We created much more than xg or number of shots represent. Omar to KDB and intelligent cut back which could easily be a goal another time, it was close to connect the couple of key passes like KDB and Gundo from Doku, Wolves defenders barely cut off few really promising crosses like Bernardos etc. Omar could do much more with the shots he had today.

KDB one of 3 best performances this season. His passes could be so threatening. On KDB my question is, whether the club offered him a place in the team, but on lower wages. If we write off regardessly of conditions its a mistake and its not necessarily. KDB would accept a more part time involment i believe and would be a fantastic surplus to have 1-2 seasons more.

That'll be some trick, seeing as we've only got 3 PL games left!

And don't try to wriggle off the hook by saying that you were including the Cup final; different competition!
Was what I was intending tbh :)

During the first 15 mins I was fearing the worst but we sorted ourselves out and then dominated the rest of the half without managing to create much more than the goal. The second half followed a similar pattern. We didn't create many chances and our shooting was terrible, when we elected to shoot that is. Thankfully theirs was too.
There was an awful lot of over hit and under hit passes and passes that were blasted at a team mate 2 yards away.
They were a good side with some nice little passages of play so we did well to get the three points, we showed a fair bit of team spirit and it was only near the end where a few legs looked tired.
On to the next one.

Just seen the Ait Nouri challenge on Bernardo. How did he get away with that?
Because City players, very rarely, "milk" any bad challenges.
Thought Wolves were very good tonight, but even they tried to get free kicks and potential City bookings, whenever they could.
All new City signings are swiftly told not to dive or attempt to get an opponent booked.
This honest approach is seldom celebrated by the Media.
Obviously, I am biased, but few managers instruct their players to be honest and sporting, but Pep does.
Compare this instruction to that of Ancelotti.
The behaviour of the Real Madrid is atrocious, but "King Carlos" endorses it...

3 points that’s all that matters.
Not the best performance but certainly not the worst this season.
After that bitch of drive getting there I’m just glad we won.

No red for that tackle was a disgrace was at game and was awful, no further proof that City are officiated differently compared to others, we don't get penos but have the most bizzare ones given against us, we get easy yellows against us but teams can basically assault our players at will. I am totally fuming over this constant BS.

I thought we looked tired for most of the 2nd half. We were lucky that Wolves were so negative. I think a better side would have beaten us tonight. We didn't play well at all but we managed to retain possession and thus neutralise Wolves without ever looking dangerous ourselves

I thought it was a good game, both teams played well

Tough game, they're very good and if they recruit well could be European contenders next season.

Challenge on Bernardo, I'm sorry but what's the point of var when they won't call the referee to take a look at that shocker? Very lucky he didn't break his leg imo. But he had a shocker all night, several occasions he waved play on whilst we were literally forced backwards towards our own goal, and once when we'd have had a free kick in a fantastic position. Smelt funny to me, that display.

Still, we won and were controlling games much better than previously. Big win, I think we have champions league sown up with two more wins at most.

Are we really, and I mean really really, sure that Kevin doesn't deserve another year?

First time in the stadium ,luckily in ss3 and it was buzzing. All the people I met on the way to the ground, so friendly.
Stewards, only too pleased to help, it just added to the whole occasion.
As for the game , I'm not use to seeing sides dominating the ball like City do, Wolves huffed and puffed a lot but I thought your boys had another gear if they needed it.
Off to Goodison Saturday on my footballing weekend ...we invariably need all our gears !.

Fucking joke that non red.

Rags get to play 10 men every week for fuck all and we have to put up with that shit.

Micah & Spitty playing it down afterwards, pair of cunts.

Yes, he rolled his foot over the ball, but then half an hour later decided to plant his foot halfway up Bernardo's leg, after looking at him.

Malicious intent that.

He wasn't the same player keeping Bernardo in the back of the net at that corner was he?
