Wolves (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Got what we needed out of that game. A win, a clean sheet and Guehi settled in and looked like he'd been with us 6 years, not 6 days.

Yes it wasn't the prettiest but we've just shit the bed in our last 2 games, and Wolves were on a half decent run themselves. Take the positives, move on.

Have to say, the fucking Wolves fans were unbearable today. Every 10 minutes they'd be running through the anti-City songbook. "Is this a library" "You're cheats and you know you are" "Your support is fucking shit". Etc. Finally in the 89th sodding minute they got round to singing a song with the word Wolves in it. Weird weird pricks.

Them and Villa are probably the most fickle fans in the country...
Hate both of the *****

Yes, Yes and thrice Yes.

Too much underlapping, recycling and death by a thousand passes
Suddenly we drop Haaland and score from the exact type of cross that he must crave every week.

Whilst thats true, and the cross was 'tailor made' for Haaland, for some reason he's stopped running and moving to meet crosses lately, so it's just as well that Marmoush was there today ..... Haaland , at the moment, is standing at the back post just hoping that crosses reach him.

He will have watched Marmoush score that today and hopefully it would have reminded him about what he should be doing !!

We probably won't be seeing them at ours again for a while, unless we get drawn against them in a cup.

While he got a goal, still felt like Marmoush should have had a chance up top rather than out left with Cherki as a false 9, will he ever get a chance to show us what're can do in his natural position?

A home fixture v Wolves always felt like a Get-out-of-Jail-Free Card, and on reflection, we scored at the right times and always did just enough to win relatively comfortably

Yes, they could have scored when Donnarumma misjudged, but equally we hit the woodwork twice and should have scored 3 or 4

That's about it really

Move on to Galatasaray

Often wonder if any other club gets as much negative match opinions from both the media and their own supporters when the team is doing relatively well compared to most others.
We won, we're not as good as we have been in recent years but we're still 2nd.
Don't want to think what this forum would be like if we were in a position like wolves are in at present.
Most on here don't realise how lucky we are.

reijnders couldn’t win a 50-50 with himself.

When he scores, he scores some really good goals ..... when he doesn't score, he's practically invisible.

We can't build true consistency without having players who have a 'good to high' level of performance, and at the moment it just isn't forthcoming from Reijnders.

You mustn’t have been around last season.

Our points, averaging two per game, are better than the performances. These players are more comfortable playing in transition, yet we appear to have reverted to slow build up and maintaining possession. A work in progress and need a couple of midfielders who can dictate the tempo annd put their foot in to challenge for title.
I still haven't seen todays game but we are so stale and not dynamic enough. I agree with a work in progress but whilst Foden did not start today, he needs to start upping his game. The days of him being a youngster are gone.

I personally can’t stand him.
