Wolves (H) Post Match Thread

Totally agree mate. Still makes my mind boggle to this day. Edgehill was/is a thoroughly decent fella and no way did he deserve the abuse he got. No one should have to put up with that kind of abuse at work. Faceless bullies. I remember Nicky Summerbee copping for loads as well. I think Nicky was a bit stronger mentally than Richard though.
I was only a kid/young lad at the time and there was nothing I could do about. No way would I allow a fellow blue to abuse one of our players in that manner today.
Without dwelling on it, the City crowd has always bullied players. Edgehill bore the brunt for a lot of our late 90s failures but so did others like Summerbee and Brannon. It was still happening in the new stadium with Vassell,Mills and McManoman. It still goes on to this day with all the “FFS” references to Mahrez although they are on The internet rather than in the stadium. Maybe it happens at every club and is just part of a fan psychology.

A rag idiot from worked texed me saying" city are so boring to watch they are so manufactured" texed him back "dont fecking watch us then we wont be boring on sunday when we hammer you!:))
What the fuck does he mean by manufactured?

sounds like a buzzword some bellend has read on social media and repeated without having a clue what it means.. like sport washing or financial doping

Mahrez man of the match by a country mile.
I had Jesus close. Would have had Rodri even closer if not for the foul for their gosl and a caught in possession a few minutes before the foul.

Other than those 2 points ( which erre significant) he was immense. Set up Mahrez for the first, dispossessed and started the move on the 3rd and recovery to start the move on the fourth.

Tha was some second half. Wolves are a very good side and pressed and played well in the second half. But it was great watching us go up the gears when we needed to. The intensity we played at was impressive.

The free kick leading to their goal wasn’t a foul. And fuck VAR, they’re trying they’re best to chalk as many of ours off as they can.

City were excellent tonight. That was a real scrap in parts and we dealt with it all very well. Our game management has improved a incredibly since last season.

I agree about the way we upped our game after Wolves drew level. It was great to see the players really go for it after the shock of losing a goal. There seems to be a very special mentality and team spirit and even the way all the players and substitutes celebrate a goal is great to see.

The work rate of this team is beyond belief. Absolutely love the commitment of every player. Never playing passes for the sake of.

I did fear we might not be able to find a higher gear if we needed it. Last two games have put that fear to rest.

I'd still be happier with the higher gear when we've gone one up, as surely in most cases we'd be able to relax sooner (the players I mean not us watching).

What foul for their goal? It wasn't a foul.

From a Wolves fan forum:
"City were bloody brilliant."
"If Mahrez doesn't win player of the year there's no justice."
"I've just put 20 quid on City to win the quadruple."

And "City's players get paid on average 4 times what Wolves players get."

I thought that was how it was supposed to be adjudged
It’s now the end of the short sleeve, which is stupid!

THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS LAPORTE WAS ONSIDE...
EXCEPT A LINESMAN WHO COULDN’T POSSIBLY KNOW AND THAT PISS POOR ON FIELD REF, CRAIG PAWSON, IN A HIDDEN STUDIO WHERE HE CAN BE AN EVEN BIGGER PRICK THAN ON THE PITCH!
