It wasn't a foul, but it was awarded and we failed to defend it.Did anyone else think it wasn’t a foul for the free kick that led to Wolves’ goal last night?

I thought it had to be clear and obviousThat offside decision against LaPorte is a joke, however precisely it has been measured. Indeed measuring offside to that level of precision is the primary joke. In the first instance, decision making by officials needs to be based on something that is possible in real time with the naked eye so that VAR is truly dealing with clear and obvious errors. I'd still bin VAR.
The first one was definitely flagged offside, saw the flag very clearly raised. Gabby’s second was also flagged.I didn't think so on our coverage, but they were both checked just in case, in hope.
The need for some to have scapegoats to abuse is still there no matter how good we get. Weak minded losers. This post deserves 5 likes never mind one.
Even after all these years the memory of a true blue, local lad, who gave his all for us and was, truth be told, a very decent player for the level we were at, having the confidence visibly drained out of him by a few thousand beer’d up, overweight, stinking scrotes every week STILL makes my blood boil.
In general or against us?mmmm it crossed my mind but they're given more often than not.
Yes I did understand the last bit, but thanks for explainingIt wasn't a foul, but it was awarded and we failed to defend it.
The margin of error should be used. For a start there aren’t enough frames per second taken by the camera to give the accuracy of millimetres that they are using at the moment. That’s before you even consider margins of error in the timing of the pass. The people who develop this technology know this. Unbelievable that this isn’t taken into consideration in the decisions. This really shows up the flaws of the T Shirt guideline for handball, because Laporte's hand is obstructing the end of the T Shirt line/PL badge they use to determine where the line between arm and shoulder is.
If anything I think he's actually been a tad generous with the line placement, I think he's drawn it closer to Laporte's shoulder than he would have if you could see the whole upper arm clearly.
Anyway it's the right decision as the rules are currently. I suspect they won't be like this for long, I believe the Netherlands are trialling a margin of error that's gone over well.
Savage appeared to like us in the Mancini era, hinting at being a mate of Bobby Manc’s. He seems to have been won back over recently by the sheer quality of football.
Never been a fan of his but he does give us a fair crack of the whip. He was always light on tactical stuff and big on hairdos and teeth. However, he has improved in quality and now either researches better or prepares more thoroughly.
It sounded like you were attributing the goal to a poor decision.Yes I did understand the last bit, but thanks for explaining
Yes they didDid they even consider VAR for the Wolves' goal?
Never would be given in the box for any team thoughmmmm it crossed my mind but they're given more often than not.
ha, good point. I honestly thought it was a foul, just opinionIn general or against us?
kev doesn't slow us down, if anything he was the one pep was calling out for being too quick, pep wants a slow pass pass build up, so everyone is in the right positions if we lose the ball, too quick and we are wide open, believe it or not pep is obsessed with defence its one of his most important parts od his game plans. To say people are slagging Kev is a bit disingenuous.
He’s not up to speed yet and we all know it. He looks a yard off the pace. Even when he’s not up to his normal level he can still pull some magic out of the bag. He’s a special player.
But I agree with those that think he is slowing us down a bit, but listening to Pep, I think he wants that at times.
Just at the moment Kev looks like he needs to get back to match fitness.
I wonder will he be started against United.
Mahrez my MOTM followed a close second by Rui F&*king Patricio.I didn't enjoy that game, too poncey in places, but magnificent 3 points.
Sterling,Cancelo and Mahrez superb.
Bring on the Rag cunts.
I wasn’t being that smart, I was just interested if anyone else thought it wasn’t a free kick, the one they scored their goal from.It sounded like you were attributing the goal to a poor decision.
You're welcome :-)
Cheers. I thought it was very soft, but I’m probably becoming as twisted as the refs and VAR officials!ha, good point. I honestly thought it was a foul, just opinion
Flagged Laporte after it crossed the line, Gabby's second was flagged after it hit the net. Given that we are talking mm wheter or not it was on or off there is no way either liner could have known for sure. They have been told not to flag and let VAR which checks every goal sort out which begs the question why are they doing it as it maters not a jot. If Eric was offside which I don't think he was it was by less than a cm so the liner flagging makes no sense as in real time he just wouldn't have a clue so they are either guessing and VAR tries to make it look like the liner was correct or there is something else going on. This is why refs need miking up as in rugby so that we can hear what is being said. The first one was definitely flagged offside, saw the flag very clearly raised. Gabby’s second was also flagged.
